"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Second day of parent conferences. Super-yay! Wish me luck!

Also, o_a, I totally get the little-irritants thing. Er, also, this is totally just a trying-to-visualize curiosity thing, but how do you carry the bag? I mean, obviously you must be able to carry things, I'm just having trouble visualizing. Maybe I'm picturing the wrong crutches. How can I go on without a full mental picture?!?!?!

ETA: Keeping in mind that of course I don't know what you look like, so it's a picture with a person-shaped blur in the center of it anyway. A snarky blur, but a blur nonetheless.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

t tangent

...it struck me, earlier today, that Cindy (the little girl in my class famous for her Blinvisible Sandwich skillz), not only looks REMARKABLY like Pucca, but her English grammar is basically Catspeak. "I can haz cheeseburger?" is a pretty standard Cindy-style sentence.

God, I heart Cindy. Personality-wise, she's more Lilo than Lilo.

t / tangent.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

So, home from the ER. Ready for a really big laugh? 'Cause this one is FUN-NY!

Dude, laughing is totally a bad idea when you've been hacking up a lung. Nobody say anything funny around vw, we don't want to give her a hernia.

At this rate you should be able to get your professors to not only understand late work, but if you swing it right, by the time you have finished explaining what is wrong, you could have 'em doing your laundry for you.

t /not helping

Sorry. But yeah, that sucketh mightily.

True, true. Actually, with my coughing after I got home last night, I was pretty sure mom was gonna take me back to the hospital. She was not pleased.

At this rate you should be able to get your professors to not only understand late work, but if you swing it right, by the time you have finished explaining what is wrong, you could have 'em doing your laundry for you.

Wouldn't that be nice. If only I could get them to return my e-mails.

Slept for a few hours. Not enough.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

It would be the perfect solution if you could sleep for a week straight, getting up often enough to use the bathroom and drink some broth and take your meds, then wake up mostly well. Too bad the universe doesn't bend to my will as often as I would like.

So this is me, wearing shoes, socks, pants, shirt and earrings that all match, mildly freaking about the cat hairs on the brand new shirt that I haven't even put on yet to go over what I've got on and fancy it up a bit.

I'm wearing makeup for goodness sake.

I may be dressed for success. If not, at least I look pretty darn good for my lunch date with Daniel afterwards.

Trying to remember that I love my job as it is, and that as long as they choose someone who can do the job well for the residents in that group home, I will go right on being happy. I see an opportunity, and it is a good thing to reach out for it. But if they choose someone else for this position, I will be ok with it.

And just checked the weather... holy cow it's cold out there. Serious bundling up must occur, of the type that can frell hair styles. Oh well, everyone will be on even footing, unless there's some bald guy with a Patrick Stewart haircut applying.

Mmm, Patrick Stewart.

Wish me luck, y'all.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I was looking at ringtones for ME and both DH and Mom have asked me to get them new tones - so they are set and I still haven't found a new one for ME. I want music, no words.

So, what kind of music are you looking for. BTW, I’m making the Rage mix for you tonight. I’ll try to get it in the mail on Monday, because I have to buy a mailing envelope this weekend.

This rant brought to you by a whole heap of angst at work ... and the letter Q... and the number 3... dunno why those last two things, but, heck, why not.

Ugh, I’m sorry. I hate that. Not only are you pissed off, but you feel bad for being pissed off because you know that they were “just trying to be helpful” Ugh.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

So, what kind of music are you looking for.

Was thinking of movie or tv theme stuff. I currently have Hedwig's Theme from Harry Potter and an instrumental bit of one of Iron Maiden's songs. I had wanted the theme from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly - but DH got all excited and wanted that one, so I decided to be nice. He has never had a custom ringtone before. Then Mom asked about classical music tones, so she ended up with something from Beethoven. I was considering the Cantena Music from Star Wars, or maybe the Imperial March.
