Car ended up costing about $100 short of the top end of the estimate. Sigh. Oh well. So this year for V-Day we got each other a power steering fluid hose. So romantic.

I went to the doctor to grumble about my supposed sinus infection, she looked at me, heard my description of how this particular illness has progressed, and told me that all my symptoms seem viral, that what kept me out of work last week sounds more like flu than cold, which would explain why I'm still well under 100%. She did give me a scrip for an antibiotic after asking me not to use it unless my symptoms changed/worsen.

Oh, and the downstairs heater (baseboard electric) is stuck on. So it's a sauna in here, we have the windows open, and I'm annoyed how much pointless expensive electricity we're using, but we've called it in to our landlords. At least we're not the ones in charge of fixing it, nor paying the repair bill.

It's ok. I decided to go ahead and page my doctor, because they are REALLY low tonight. Like, previous-we're-concerned-low was 275. That's about where I've been hovering for the last couple of weeks, but tonight, I can't seem to get above 175--even right after a neb. When my good is 475 and normalish is 375, 175 is freaking me out a bit.

I'm sorry about the expensive repairs, Susan. JZ is wise, cars are such a money suck.

Well, shit. I have to get myself to the ER. Yay. I've already taken my night meds, so I couldn't drive even if I wanted to. Guess I'm calling a cab.

My Mom has accidentally sent an email to my sister that was intended for me. The email was about how much my sister's actions have hurt me. Now sister is talking about moving to India. Mostly I feel bad for Mom because I've sent emails to the wrong person before and I know how awful it can be. And my fingernails which were finally starting to grow but are now being gnawed at every time I recall Mom's mistake.

I'm glad you are going to the ER - I know nothing about peak flow - but that sounds evil. ( my sister has done peak flow - and has had readings that were really high even when she was coughing. Go figure, we are weirdos)

Mom is hoping this will turn out for the best but I think my sister wasn't ready to lift the veil yet. If she wanted to know how I felt she could have asked me any time in the last 16 months. Luckily we have another sister and a brother who are more removed from my situation and I have hope that they will be able to reach Meg before she makes an irreversible choice she'll later regret.
