[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sparky, even the feds are on a 2-hour delay.

Because of this, and all the school delays, my commute in via doggie day care was actually easy due to the empty-ish roads. However, it's hard to appreciate an easy commute when it happens because you feel like you're the only one who has to go to work.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I certainly hope so. I've been in non-posty headspace for a while now, but it appears my fingers can once again do the talking.

Yay, more Maria!

I look more rad than Lutheranism

So, my doctor thinks that either I have mono

In the meantime, I'm supposed to work tonight, go to school tomorrow morning, and work again tomorrow night. She wants me to cancel all of the above. But, I've missed so much already that I really don't feel like I can.

vw, do you think the first sentence (the possible!mono) could be related to the next paragraph?

I'm not trying to be snarky; I'm concerned about your health. It seems like you've taken on a LOT lately, with tutoring and school and the after-school kids' program, along with your regular life and quilting and other stuff. Maybe it's a little too much right now. Your health is more important than anything.

And we love you and want you to be a healthy bug.

The status is NOT quo.

Thank you all again for all of the birthday wishes yesterday and today--I really appreciate them.

Darn, thought I was swooping in all hero-y. Looks like they start service between LA and Seattle on 3/18. So, a month after you want to go, looks like $99 each way.
Epic, this is so good to know! Thanks!

Also, YAY Maria being back!

ND, sorry you couldn't sleep, hon. I hope you can take a nap today or at least get a good night's sleep before you board Mouse!Ship tomorrow.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Be careful, your bitter is showing. Mine would too.

How is the puppy? Is she all better now?

I got to work late anyway, didn't even know that the U was closed because THE CABLE IS OUT. This means that I have no internet or phone as well.

Sass is always adorable and well loved, now feeling better, but she hasn't gotten the all clear from the vet, yet. She had a second antibiotic when the first one didn't get rid of the Giardia. My husband thinks her tummy is still sensitive, but considering her last episode of GI distress was after an obedience class where she ate her weight in dog treats, I'm thinking she just had too much of a good thing.

What are good lunch days for you, Maria? Thursdays are generally meeting days for me, so I usually cross that one off as a possibility.

Sorry you didn't know that you had the U's stamp of approval to be late, Vortex!

move out and draw fire

I'm at home. 2 hour school delay, so Mal and I crawled back into bed. Normally he doesn't, opting instead to bounce toy cars off my face while I try to get a couple more minutes sleep.

4 hours later, he's still asleep. I guess he really is sick.

I got up when the doorbell rang - R sent flowers for Valentine's Day, which is terribly sweet. I felt so bad for the woman delivering them in the ice, and glad I put de-icer on our steps last night.

I also feel bad for our squirrel, hunkered on his ice-covered tree, looking pissed off.

Compassionately intolerant

the first one didn't get rid of the Giardia.

Sparky, I'm going to whitefont my question for the non-puppy fluid interested among us:

Is there blood in her stool ?

If so, it may be a similar infestion to Bartleby's. Awful and remarkably easy to fix, in his case.
