Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

All is well that ends in pizza.

A message from moving a desk that's been in the same place for about a decade: There are some things that man was not meant to know.

I'll be moving my desk that's been in this position for 8 years soon. I don't want to see back there...

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Am I right in thinking that this is ND's task?
That is the show he is working on. The task of integrating is a bit of everyone. While ND will handle the playback, the director and the actors have to work it. Luckily the two big figures in that task are some of the best in the business (ND and Stefan)

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Perkins, how is the kitty doing now?

IOmememeN: Have not been as present here as I sometimes am, the last little while. There was a reason. That reason was one that caused me fits of screaming rage frequently over the last couple or three weeks, so you'll understand why I had to pull back a little bit so as to keep from leaking my unhappiness all over.

The matter was, that I'd looked at my W-2 and realized they had not taken out as big a chunk as I am used to, and my estimates of what I should be paying in taxes told me that I might be as much as $1000 in the hole to the IRS. In a funk and fuddle, I stumbled into the office at work, to check on my W-4 and redo it. I figured I must have made some kind of error in filling it out. But it turned out that I had originally filled it out exactly as it instructed. I ended up changing the W-4 so there will be more money taken out, but it still rankles a bit. I know, the IRS does not really care about my personal information so much that they would feel lied to if I fill that form out to make sure enough is taken out of my paychecks. But that part of me that likes order and precision feels as though I lied. It made me all kinds of angry to feel that I was being punished for following instructions.

Anyway, good news. I filed using TurboTax online, and it made me jump through all kinds of hoops, finding deductions and credits that never occurred to my "I can do the 1040EZ by myself if I follow all the instructions just like my 9th grade Civics teacher showed us" mind. And I'm a much happier camper. Instead of being in the hole for $1000, I'm getting a refund. A $10 refund.

Have you seen anyone as happy as I am to be getting $10 back? Probably not.

X-posty.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

that must be such a relief for you WindSparrow. Make sure you buy yourself a treat out of the $10. You deserve it!

Our wings are not tired

Yes that synchronization is one of my primary tasks.

Omnis, it is very kind of you to call Stefan and I two of the best in the business. Thank you.

Its kind of odd to have a show that people are finding articles about in their own.

Ugh. I got up a little before 11AM. By 1pm, I had a horrible headache, and laid back down. I just got up and feel very out of it. And I'm SO READY to kill my downstairs neighbor, who has been playing loud thumping bass music for hours on end. I mean, yes, it's the middle of the day on a weekend, but DAMN

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Sigh. The "young Jews aren't Jewish enough!" thing has made it to national mainstream media: [link] I love it how articles like this never recognise all the stuff that younger urban Jews are doing. Just within DC, and of things that I've personally been to, there are two quite large congregations founded and mostly attended by people under 30, and a weekly study group that gets about 30-40 people. And that's just stuff that I've actually attended -- there's a lot more, too. But it's not associated with the traditional synagogues, and thus it's ignored.
