[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Remember how the asshole construction people broke GF's collectibles and then they didn't want to pay for it so she freaked out on them and then they deducted it from the final bill? Well, guess who we got a certified letter from last Saturday threatening legal action? We just paid it because we have enough to deal with right now what with GF's dad and stuff, but GF did write a nice, scathing letter. Wanna see it?
YES
Boss of Asshats,
After the host of problems we encountered in using your company, I’m not sure why I’m surprised by Primary Asshat’s (PA) letter of the 30th, and yet I am.
Maybe it’s because the first sentence of PA’s letter is a direct lie - PA is the one who deducted the amount from the final bill, which PA then signed (see copy attached). Or maybe it’s because PA directly told us you were going to cover the cost of the damage both the day before we signed off and again on the actual day. He even went so far as to have us research the cost of replacing the items and email him a detailed list. Why put us through this exercise if you never intended to cover the cost? I guess it’s just another example of PA’s great communication over the course of the project.
When your substandard plaster/painting crew failed to use drop cloths, they got paint on our office furniture and left a huge amount of dust throughout our office, living room, and kitchen. When we complained, we were told not to worry – Company would send a “cleaning crew” at the end of the job. This turned out to be Foreman’s mother-in-law. She did not properly clean our home and she managed to break $800 worth of property.
I could fill several pages with the details of the shoddy workmanship and lack of communication we experienced on this job. After everything your company put us through – 2 complaints filed against us with our HOA, water turned off in our entire condo complex for a full day, leaving one of our neighbors without hot water over the Thanksgiving weekend, and going a month over schedule just to name a few - it’s amazing to me that you have the nerve to call us liars and threaten legal action over $800 on a job that cost us over $25,000.
In short, this is the most I have ever paid for home improvements and by far the worst experience I have had.
If not for the fact that my father died the day that PA’s letter is dated and I am now busy planning his memorial service, I would definitely pursue this in court. Instead, I guess I’ll have to settle for hiring a more reputable company to remodel my master bathroom and kitchen as well as letting everyone in my building who has asked me for a referral, as well as everyone else I know, to avoid Company at all costs.
Enjoy the $800. I am certainly enjoying ending my association with your company.
Irate!GF
Go GF!!!
Fabulous letter. Asshats.
GC, y'all need to report them to the BBB and Angie's List.
Great letter.

And one of those local news things that are usually called something like "ACTION NEWS ON YOUR SIDE." Imagine the bad press.
Awesome letter. Those bastards.
So let me get this straight: you asked them to pay for the damages, so they did, and now they want you to pay that money back ??
