FURTHER CONFUSION
ND got asked to speak at this one year. No, really. Ask him.
Hil, I have PCOS also (though some of my symptoms are atypical), and tons of hugs to you. It's a tough disorder to deal with, and I know how demoralizing it can be. Email me any time you want to talk.
A couple of books I've found really helpful: Living with PCOS and PCOS: Polycystic Ovary Syndrome: The Hidden Epidemic.

YAY KITTEN!! Happy for you, laga.
Good luck, Nora!
sj, the shampoo you linked to is the stuff. My hair stays red! (I'm still having fun with it.)
it's official! We're getting a cat! Multiple exclamation points are justified! It looks like maybe a kitten is not that much more expensive than a grown-up cat but I'm not ruling anybody out until I meet them face to face. I do feel like I should adopt an older cat to save them from maybe being euthanized.
Remember, the cat chooses the human.
Sometimes.
Also, yay kitty!
Yay kitten!
By the way, for those who want to keep their red hair bright and shiny, I've been using some shampoo/conditioner Aveda makes that they claim deposits color on your hair (they have it for blonde, red, and dark hair). And it seems to work - the people at the salon keep telling me my hair's holding the color really well.
You can get the same effect by buying a jar of Manic Panic in the red you like best and adding a tablespoon of it to your regular shampoo and conditioner. (And then shaking the bottles to mix it in.)
This week has been not particularly fun, so far. I think I'm just going to hide in here.

Rock ON! Especially since absinthe is (theoretically) good for an upset stomach!
