[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

So, in the sewing world right now, there is a craze for aprons. It's one of THE big things.

Well, I finally just found the perfect apron I want to make for myself: [link] I absolutely love it. It's so fun and modern.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

vw, that apron is gorgeous! Good luck making it.

Hmmmm...I wonder if I have enough fabric from my kitchen wall hanging to make it matching!

It's official. I'm a dork.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

We had an extra turkey in the fridge from Thanksgiving so we decided to do a Thanksgiving themed superbowl meal. Yum!

Nora, when should I show up?

ETA: totally joking, by the way. My sicky self ain't going anywhere today.

A turkey in the fridge from *Thanksgiving*? I'm hoping you mean the freezer. Or else I'm scared...

Dang meara, can I borrow your life for a day?

Heh. Sure--can you find me a job while you're at it? In inconvenient news, the friend who said the crush thing is a sweetheart, but I'm also getting to know his as of two weeks ago EX, who comes dancing, and who I would rather have have a crush on me...:)

I am not making any superbowl chili (and certainly not any vegetarian chili!) but I do have chex mix and cupcakes, adn am making guacamole, and others are bringing wings and beer...

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Guess what I'm doing for the Superbowl? Yeah, still packing. With bonus moving in a snowstorm for added effect! And the SO is still sick.

It's bumming me out because I usually cook up a storm for the Bowl. Spinach & ricotta calzones, a billion pizzas. All sorts of stuff. And then my kiddoes come over and we eat and play music and act stupid. But my kiddoes are in New Mexico and not kiddoes anymore, and I'm between houses. I was really hoping to already be in the house. In fact, I was hoping to make my housewarming party also a superbowl party. But oh, well. Better get going so I can keep making progress and get over there one day.

Oh, and it's probably a good thing I'm not having or going to a party, because BOO PATS!

But! But! But!

Awwww...what the hell? Who am I kidding? I'm just thrilled to be finally living somewhere where my teams win.

The status is NOT quo.

What cracks me up is the fact that the Pats were a total joke when I was a kid.

Not that I ever followed football, but I had lots of cousins who did.
