Then, in December 2006, a palm enthusiast living on the island saw some pictures that the Metzes had taken on their picnic and posted them on PalmTalk, the interactive online chat room moderated by the International Palm Society.
Wow, also a whole new unknown genus of geekdom.
GC, I'm so sorry for you and your GF's loss.
It's looking like I will be delivering the eulogy (eep) and perhaps having one or two other people reading poems or something like that. Holding the service at a community center with a nice view of gardens. Jack loved gardening so it feels appropriate.
This sounds really lovely.
Steph, if you're around, do you remember what size the GCS shirt that you're wearing in that photo you linked is? I think you and I are of a similar enough size that you'll give me a better idea than the size chart. And how's the shrinkage been (I'm torn between sizes for my friend)? Thanks much.
I got a women's tee in 2X. I think if I had gotten a men's tee, I could have gotten a 1X (or XL, whatever they call it), but the women's tees are more fitted.
As for shrinkage -- I fear shrinkage, so I tend to hang-dry any clothing that I'm afraid may shrink, and that's what I'm doing with the GCS shirt. Hanging it dry has led to NO shrinkage, but I don't know what tumble-drying might do.
I am spending way too much time watching people sweep my street, dig holes in my street, use bobcats ( which are kinda cute) , and fretting about where I will park my car.
Someone had a Bobcat on Craigslist two years or so ago, really cheap, due to it not running. I was so tempted to add another project to my load, but really? No time.
VW, that's awesome! Go Thesis!!
Is there any way we could convince you to either keep the storm or pass it west to Los Angeles?
Admit it...those smug sunny bastards get up your nose, too.
Hey! Standing. Right. Here! I'm a nice enough guy. And I can prove it. I'm still single. Nobody dates the nice guy! Why do you want to give us hail? That's why we LEFT all those places east of us.
GC, you will do great. The setting sounds wonderful. I hope its a sunny afternoon that highlights the gardens wonderfully.
In me news... The work~ma seems to be working. 2nd show is starting to take shape (thank goodness). First show is going well. Very few cues. Rehearsal starting with the section where we have NO CUES FOR THIRTY PAGES. I guess there are worse things than boredom. So, thanks again for the support.
Oh, in the midst of all the van mess last week, I havn't written up the saga of what all happened.
Two other good things came out of that time period.
For one, we have a new used car. It is a 1989 Pontiac Grand Am that gets 25+ Mpg. More on that later.
For the second, I have been requesting for years that my doctor give me a prescription for Pseudoephedrene-based Actifed (now only in a clone at Walgreens). For the same period of time, unrelated, she has been encouraging me to consider bypass surgery, which I am reluctant to do for a variety of reasons.
I win. She wrote a prescription.

Yes, I meant to say this before. Go veedub!

Thanks for the info.

I think I need to adopt this policy. All of my shirts are still wide enough, but some of them are getting SO SHORT. And believe me, it's not that I'm gettin' any taller.
Wow, also a whole new unknown genus of geekdom.
Hee.
I might anyway just to get a picture with her and it while she's sleeping and not chewing.
I was going to post the pic I took of her sleeping on/in your DH's shirt, then remembered I haven't downloaded them off the camera yet. SUCH a slacker.
Heavy snow and rain along with strong winds and tornadoes have hit parts of Britain. >[link]
The storm. It is everywhere...
