That's beautiful. Or taken literally, incredibly gross.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh, GC, honey. My condolences to you and GF and her family. Much love to you all.

Are there any groups/organizations that he was involved with? Lions Club? Masons? A theater? Golf Course? Often these places have a congregating room that might be nice.

This was what I was going to suggest…

I wish I lived in a state like that.

You and me both! I can’t believe that MA gets so freaked out when there’s snow. I mean, there’s ALWAYS snow. It’s more certain than the Patriots winning the Super Bowl.

So, I slept like crap. Finally realized at 4 a.m. that I’d been tossing and turning and adding clothes and taking off clothes for a couple of hours. Maybe something was wrong. Got up and took my temp: 102! I don’t remember the last time I had that high of a temp. Craziness! Thanks to Tylenol, it’s back to normal and I feel a little better, but blech.

No throw up on the shoes. Actually got a couple of hours of "sleep". The construction noise is STILL going on, DH just walked over to see what is happening - water main busted.

The ding-dang-dog actually stopped barking after I did my investigatory walk at o'dark thirty in the morning.

Can't work from home today - need paperwork that is at the office. Gonna check in on stuff from here, take my shower, and then head in.

Gronk?

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Working from home today due to snowpocalypse.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Good news is I'm likely to leave early.

Which, yea, but at the same time...why the fuck did I have to come in in the first place?

Oh, yeah...if I don't, I don't get paid.

Fuck.

Because books.

I'm so sorry, GC.

Giardia, Sparky?! That's wild. Where do they think Sass got it?

We're having snow, freezing rain, and ice here today. A trifecta of suck.

For the first day in a while, we just have cold-no-rain. I even see blue skies - SHOCKING.

Now to get the energy to get in my car, drive to the office, hunt for a parking place, and then work. bleh.

Where do they think Sass got it?

Goodness knows. She's a puppy so she's not very good at the "leave it" command. (My mother would interrupt to point out that it is me and my DH who are not very good with the "leave it" command and remind me of the overarching rule: Don't blame the dog.)

My only real experience with Giardia is knowing a hang glider pilot who crashed in the hills and had to hike out who picked it up from drinking stream water. He nearly died. So, good to know that it's very treatable if you actually get it treated.

Because books.

My mother had giardia years and years ago, and it took them forever to figure out what it was. I'm not sure they ever figured out how she got it.

Oh, poor puppy! I hope she feels better soon!

I'm at the point in my writing when I really want to say, "So, I've said all that, now you're wondering, 'So what?! How does that all apply to oral history?'" Not really very scholarly, though. Must think of a better way to transition.
