Giles, if you would like to get by in American society, then you are going to have to follow our traditions. You're the patriarch. You have to host the festivities, or it's all meaningless.

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

Happy Birthday, Anne!

I'm at work hours and hours early, just so I can use the internet. My home connection seems to be NSM working. Thankfully, He Who Shall Not Be Named is not in today.

Our wings are not tired

This can't be right. I'm on board the plane to Burbank and it looks to be on time.

Our wings are not tired.

Shiny, ND! This could be a new trend in airline timeliness.

The status is NOT quo.

Happy Birthday, Anne!

YAY ND coming home! I only get him for a week until he's gone for a long time, so I am going to be greedy.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Note to self: Don't try to call K or ND for a week.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Or...call them every fifteen minutes, see if they snap.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

We lost a mitten yesterday walking home from daycare. Anyone know of a good place to shop online for infant mittens WITHOUT matching hats? I'll buy a set if it comes to that, but we have approximately umpty-zillion hats already. And I'd like them to be as cheap as possible since winter's almost over and he'll have outgrown them by next year.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Morning, All.

Am back home from the wilds of the East Coast (for a week now) and am finally almost all unpacked and caught up. My trip was very hectic, and stuff kept going wrong, and I had a great time. Much thanks to the local-istas who were such charming hosts (and also to the facilitators who, due to wacky technical difficulties, I was unable to actually see in person).

Speaking of Vortex, how'd the interview go?

Happiest of Birthdays to the Lovely Anne!

There are many other people that I have positive thoughts and/or brackets for, but with the week of catching up and the lurking and the glayvin - Can't articulate them. So, um, {{{you}}}.

Who has charge of the Buffista Store at CafePress? Jessica? I tried to go through the affiliate link and half the designs are not linking (specifically the cartoon-y icon ones and the nutritional info one. Not sure whether any of the others are being difficult). Is this a fixable thing, or have these designs been eliminated or something?

And speaking of affiliate links - Is Jilli's CafePress store linked through one? I recently discovered that a friend (whose b-day is coming soon) is a fan of the Lady of the Manners (completely independent of me! I was recommending Allyson's book, and she said, "I've read a review of that...where was it...oh, yeah, have you ever heard of Gothic Charm School?") So I thought I might get her a GCS shirt for her b-day, but if my lowly purchase could also help b.org...

This is also the first week of school. I have one class online and one class in person. Tonight. Managerial Accounting. Give me strength.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Our first set of china from our registry came in the mail today, only it's the wrong pattern. There was no receipt or packing slip or card (luckily I knew who it was from). I hope they don't give me trouble returning it tonight.
