[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I am not the person to give you feedback about this. AT ALL. I mean, I say yes! Absolutely incorporate touches of that era into your clothes! But my advice might be a bit ... biased.

Well, part of the reason I asked here is because I knew y'all would get it, unlike, say, the Coworker Who Thinks I'm Weird. Which I suppose I am, but I get the impression she doesn't think being a little strange is a virtue.

That's a gorgeous dress, and I love the prussian blue.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

which I haven't heard since they changed the crayola color because "kids don't know what prussians are any more"

Seriously? 'Cause that's just sad.

Although not as sad as listening to the French prosecutor in the Société Générale case just now talking about Kerviel's "flair" and his "feeling du marché".

Oh, and Teppy, I missed the silhouettes.com mention on my first reading of your post, since I was too busy assuring myself that neither you nor your car was crunched, but I'm playing with the site now, and I think I may need this in black: [link]

Only, I don't think I actually need it in any strict sense of the word, the way I need some more socks and a few more lightweight sweaters that mix and match well with my existing pants and skirts. But I like the thought of me in it...

Vortex, that would look fantastic on you.

I have to agree with you. I'll go look at it this weekend.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I have that dress!

I adore it.

Our wings are not tired.

It would look fantastic on ya, Vortex. And, what's the event? Please excuse my nosiness.

The wikipedia article on Crayola colors is fascinating. It says Prussian blue was renamed because of "teacher requests" and also influenced by the cold war. I'm still a bit boggled but I'm the kid who (in second grade if I recall correctly) asked my teacher how come they retired "flesh" but kept "indian red".
