So much for the myth of how much more expensive it is to live in LA.
No shit.
Well, she couldn't live in a house that size in LA.
Very true.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Crap. It's started snowng. The flakes are HUGE. DH needs to get here to help with the kids.

Yeah, but for an extra $800/mo in income she could afford to pay more in rent.
And that's just me. Joe has taken anywhere from a $10,400 to a $12,640 a year paycut depending on where he happens to be working.
Come home. LA misses you.
If I didn't think it would completely and utterly break us financially for another 4 years, I would. In a heartbeat.
Aimee, I'm sorry Michigan is being less than ideal for you guys. I remember how much you had looked forward to moving back, and being near family, and raising Em near family. Does that help at all? (The being near family, that is?)

Thanks, babe.

It truly does. Most of the time. It's nice that Em can ask to see Grammie and Poppy and I can take her there. It's great that She knows her extended family.
But where we had the money to fly to Michigan to visit before, we don't have the money to fly back to California to visit. Which, to us, is just as important.
Aimee, can you hop on IM for a minute?
I can't. I'm at work and don't have IM.
aconat @ gobeal dot com is my direct email though.
