Mal: Yeah, well, just be careful. We cheated Badger out of good money to buy that frippery, and you're supposed to make me look respectable. Kaylee: Yes, sir, Captain Tightpants.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The status is NOT quo.

Also, it currently looks like I am scheduled for 18 out of 24 hours every day of dry tech on the cruise ship.
So basically, you have no down time and barely enough time to sleep? Grrrrrrr.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Somehow in the office redo - I started in the closet. Lots of old hardware is going byebye. i have to take a deep breathe - because things get so much worse before they get better.

I forgot who asked about the chalkboard paint, but it is awesome. The black squares on the door look great - and it erases really well.

oops, forgot to say.

Omnis, you have seen Season 5 before, right?
Nope. Watching for my first time. When done, I'll have finally watched all the Buffy/Angel/Firefly.

Because watching Smile Time, and then watching A Hole In The World (the subsequent episode)...well, that is some Damn Fine Television, right there. But I'll say no more.
Yes. I agree 200%. Tired me wants to get home to couch potato(e) more Angel. A.d.d.i.c.t.e.d.!!

For the 3rd time in the last week, GF's mom has called and told her she needs to get to the hospital immediately. I am anxious and frustrated, which I know is wrong, but how many times can this happen? I'm a terrible person.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Oh, GC, hon. Anxious and frustrated isn't wrong. It's the furthest thing from wrong -- if you weren't feeling the strain after all he and you and gf and the whole family have been through, it'd be an awful lot like not giving a damn. Keep doing your best for them (as I know you do) but cut yourself a break.

move out and draw fire

No, actually, I think anxious and frustrated and how many times are the completely normal responses.

Signed, saw both parents in terminal hospital stays.

I am currently wanting to strangle my HR department. My W-2 appears to be in vasty reaches of space. I can't print out my pay statements. Oh sure, there's a button on the screen that says "PRINT THIS STATEMENT" but it's just the same as hitting the browser's print button, so I only get half the page. And that's if I drive to our home campus to pick it up, because us rovers can't connect our work computers to any other printer.

Why yes, it is an IT company.

Thanks, guys. GF's mom is a bit of a drama queen under the best of circumstances so it's always hard to know if it is really a close-to-death situation. And again I feel like an ass for even saying such a thing with all she's going through. I feel like a human yoyo - I can only imagine what GF and her mom are feeling. I'm also extremely sad because I have a terrible feeling I'll never see GF's dad again. The last time I got to see him was Dec. 29.

Our wings are not tired.

How frustrating, GC. Also, you and GF and so damn cute in the pics linked this morning. I don't remember if it was this thread. But I do remember smiling.
