I've been reading about container gardening.
Container gardening has a lot to recommend it. Potatoes do well in a big tub. I have been intrigued by the upside down tomato growing technique for years, now, but haven't actually tried it because then I'd have a bunch of tomatoes to deal with.
I think I read something about Tilda Swinton having some sort of unconventional living arrangements in an interview a while back, but I don't rightly recall.
We took the dog out to Rush Ranch where he can be off leash as long as he's under voice command. Which he mostly is, but he did decide to try to chase a cow, so he had to go back on the leash. Still, a fun outing for all of us and it's not far away, so we will be going back and he will be learning to ignore the big bovines.
So, anyway, we got another kick in the ass by 2007 on its way out... my cousin's wife's (this is the wife of the son of the uncle that just died a couple weeks ago) younger brother died of a drug OD on Sunday night or Monday morning.
Jesus. This will be 3 funerals in 5 weeks.
The kid was 25 years old.
Oh, Nora, I'm so sorry. Your poor family, including, of course, you.
Damn.
Oh, Nora, that's awful. I'm so sorry.
Oh, damn. Nora, I am so sorry...
(((Nora)))
Dear 2008, please give Nora and her family a break and be trauma-free.
No Love,
Bitches
Damn, Nora {{my best to all that have to deal with this}}

Oy vey.
I didn't even want to post anything about it because... sheesh. If I weren't me, I'd think I was Penlinding this shit.
It's just so hard to bounce back when you keep getting these calls, keep holding grieving people, looking at corpses in caskets.
Oh, Nora, I'm so sorry. *hugs you*
