It can be kind of tricky at first. The best thing to do is hang out on Help Island and ask mentors about how to do things.
I use my laptop and don't use a mouse for controls, just use the controls on the screen which make things easier.
When you are just walking around the view is always of the back of your avatar, but you can mouse around with camera controls to get a better view.
I'm Beatrix Noel in Second Life.
And if anyone wants help or has questions I'd love to help. I'm still new and there's some stuff I don't know but I can at least get anyone started with things. Either drop me a line on my profile addy or look me up in world,
Frisco is a precious boy. And I adore how Ellie adores him.
The desk clerk got all amazed and delighted when I handed the bags to her; she didn't say anything, but I got the feeling she was worried about how they were going to get by once they left the hospital. But at least now they've got a bundle of receiving blankets and outfits from Olivia and Ellie and BIL's sister and various other peeps.
Don't that just warm the old cockles? Here's hoping that all the best ~ma follows that family and that things take a turn for the better for them soon. The clothes and blankets have to be saturated with bright good fortune and love.
So glad you ran into them JZ and got to help that's really cool. and I'm sure it's something that they'll remember and treasure.
Wow, I totally would've believed that to be one of those "Oooh, my car broke down and I need money for a tow..." stories. I'm so glad it turned out to be true and you helped them!
Frisco is so cute -- all new and red and floppy!
And JZ, I love you, woman.
Baby Frisco!!!!! So cute! And Ellie just looks precious with him!
So yesterday afternoon Matilda and I lugged everything up to the ICN (with one of our many extra copies of Goodnight Moon).
Ok…I’m all teary. Thank you for doing that, JZ.
I just got home from church. We’ve been having meetings after church to let people air their concerns, essentially. I got really frustrated after the beginning, but then it started to look like people really are starting to hear each other. We might actually move past this and become a stronger place. And I talked a bit this time…our associate pastor came afterwards and thanked me for my thoughts…he said I seemed to be the only person there today that wanted to offer hope. That’s me! I’m hope girl. Or something…
Steel Magnolias is on. Shelby just died (hope that wasn't a spoiler for anyone!). I'm all sobbing. Good grief! How many times have I seen this movie?
JZ - awesome thing to do!
New baby picspam! [link]
Adorable-ded, I am.
Wee tiny scrunchy babyface! I think I recognize that sleepsack, too...
I cry everytime I watch Steel Magnolias and then what's her name says "hit weezy!" ( I think that's the right line) when Sally Fields is in the cemetery and then I start laughing and crying.
