Well, it's just good to know that when the chips are down and things look grim you'll feed off the girl who loves you to save your own ass!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I just signed on to try Second Life. So far I have spent all my time picking out my clothes and beautiful turquoise hair. Do any Buffistas do the second Life thing? What's fun there?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Eeee! Stephanie! So excited for you and Frisco-with-the-awesome-name!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Congrats, Stephanie! Welcome to the world, Frisco!

In exciting news, Tom and I made arrangements to go visit my grandma in Florida next month. Yays!

Whew! Three hours later, I ...still don't have a license. But I have a temporary black and white copy of one, and they'll eventually mail me mine. Yay? I punked out on doing the plates today, and am home. Must inventory the kitchen, and then go to the grocery store. And then CLEAN.

Trust my rage

thanks for all the well wishes! We are back home now. SO far, Ellie is a great big sister - she definitely likes her baby brother and mostly she's disappointed that she can't play with him as much as with her dolls. Still, she likes to touch his face, pet his hands and wipe his nose when he sneezes.

I went to my doula's (who is also a midwife) yesterday for out first meeting at 4. I'd been having contractions but they seemed like nothing more than what I'd experienced earlier in the week. The doula offered to let me deliver the baby in her home (she's much much closer to emergency services than my parents) and I'd said I'd think about it. Well, when the contractions let me know they were the real thing around 10:30, it just seemed like the place to be. So, we showed up at her house at 11:45 pm and said, "Hi - we'd like to deliver here, if possible." Three hours later, Baby Frisco arrived. I know it's not for everyone, but having him at home was so awesome.

Joe is currently on a plane and should be here by midnight or so. I suppose I'll type up a longer story later, but I'm just so happy about how quickly it all happened and how it all just came together.

eta: Frisco is currently wearing one of Noah's hats!

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Welcome baby Frisco!

We went to Costco today. I am feeling virtuous and frugal.

Ok. 31 single-serve dinners packaged up with about 37 more in progress. Maybe another 10 if we get the energy to start the last soup.

That'll last a week, or so :).
