My hatred of Fred Phelps is huge. Each time I think it can't get bigger that asstool proves that he can make me hate him even more.
Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Congratulations, askye and Jilli and dcj and PC!
For goodness sake, The Dog Whisperer speaks on corporate platforms!
I know you were talking about customer service, but that reminded me of this, a really interesting article about dog training, focusing on the issue of Ian Dunbar’s techniques vs. Cesar Millan’s (the dog whisperer). Dunbar has amazing cred*, while Millan is getting hot media attention, even though Millan…
the American Humane Association requested that the National Geographic Channel stop the show immediately, citing Millan's training tactics as "inhumane, outdated and improper."
Millan promotes the dog-as-wolf theory, which Dubar disputes.
- > There is a quiet battle being fought in dog-training circles, and Dunbar, though he didn't pick the fight, represents one side. The mild, very mannered Dunbar is armed with degrees and scientific study: a veterinary degree and a Special Honors in physiology and biochemistry from the Royal Veterinary College of London University, a doctorate in animal behavior from the psychology department of UC Berkeley and a decade of research on the olfactory communication, social behavior and aggression in domestic dogs. All this, plus decades of dog-training experience.
I glommed onto the article when I read it because my sister is forever promoting the dogs-as-wolf theory and, well, she is not a shining example of a dog owner, shall we say.

Looks like my computer should be working again tomorrow.
Oh ya, my "bass drum belly" seemed to go away by the time I got home. I'm wondering if the bedrest ordered actually was counter productive to digestion. Silly doctors.
omnis, glad you are home and feeling better. Or at least sounding better.
This is what I got in my email today:
It's time to start preparing for a strike
Sigh.
But yeah for all the good luck here today! Except for DCJ. Sorry about the van problems. That does seem awfully fast.
