No fair with the white font. Curious what MM did. Silly iPhone. But very cute with the Superheroes story. Treasure this time. Remember it fondly as she sneaks out of her bedroom window to galavant with that boy you dissapprove of.
Amon sounds wonderful. Best part of cat sitting is the lap cats. Nothing like a ball of fur purring to let you know your petting good.
Thanks for all the well wishings. Aimée, I love your smiting my guts but not me. Cracked. Me. Up. I'm feeling better today. Wanting real food gorrum it. We'll see what comes of the x-ray.
KT, a visit is always welcomed. Let's see if I get sprung first.
~ma to omnis. Hospitals suck!
On Cash's side!
Congrats on your new kitty, Connie (and congrats to Amon on his new people). Kitties are lovely body warmers and have that nice, relaxing purr thingy going on, too.
They are moving GF's dad to ICU this morning. He is halfway through a month of chemo and not doing well. On a more hopeful note, they have found 2 (umbilical?) cords that are a close enough match for a transplant. So if they can get him through chemo and in remission, he will have a transplant. Odds aren't really good, but it is a chance.
Much ~ma, GC. Ugh.
Has anyone heard from/seen sj around? Miss that girl!
Amon is probably around two years old, full grown but still bouncy. He's got lovely blue eyes, and he's talkative.
I was just going to name him Amon, but it felt wrong to not give him the full name. I had a fun few minutes debating "Well, should I go Old Kingdom and just go with Osiris? Or all modern and go with Amon-Ra? Go with just Ra? How is it going to sound if I yell out into the neighborhood, 'Get your butt back in here, Ra!'"
Our housemate asked, "What's Amon-Ra?", then she just blinked for a few minutes when I said, "King of the Egyptian gods," then she gave me the "you're weird, but you let me live in your house" look and walked away.
Watch out for the talkative ones, connie!! He'll be chattering at you at 3:30 in the morning just to get you to wake up and pet him. And, yes, this is the voice of experience here--Amarna loves to do that, unless I shut the door, which she hates.

My sister had the same reaction when I tried to explain where "Amarna" came from! She tried to get me to go for "Bagheera" instead, but that's a male name (doesn't she know her Disney cartoons?).
Well, maybe he'll be chattering at the other cat.
(My cats are both very chatty - but they do not wake me up to chat. Of course, they are elderly.)
Woo hoo - it's 7 degrees now! And it's not even 11 am yet.

I've been meaning to ask -- no way to highlight with the iPhone? Annoying.
Hubby just wants Amon to stop smacking him in the butt when they're in bed together. I told Hubby to stop farting on the cat, and the excuse "He started it!" was not good enough.
