It's cold and cloudy here. Very low energy. The lack of power isn't helping since ND and I are essentially sitting around in the dark.
Dentist seems okay. She did a good job fixing that front tooth (teeny tiny chip is gone). Real test will be on the 4th when she does the full x-ray and exam and makes recommendations.
She did chastise me for not wearing my nightguard, but the thing is so freaking uncomfortable. We hates the nightguard, precious. She said she will take a look at it to see if she can make it better, but I have a horrible feeling that I'm going to end up shelling out another $300+ for a better one. I opted for the glorified sportsguard soft one at the last dentist because the nicer one was nearly $500 (!!!), but I just can't wear it.
Kristin I bought a night guard for $25 at a drug store. It's not terribly comfortable but I was able to trim off the pointy edges and it doesn't bother me much now. Sometimes I forget I'm wearing it. You have to boil it and shape it to your teeth but it might be worth trying before you invest in a new one.
Laga, that's basically what I have now, just a lot more expensive and probably a little less comfortable. If I have to use it, I'll stick with the ridiculously expensive soft one out of guilt, but I hate it.
I used to wear the ones you have for field hockey. Definitely can't sleep in them, alas. I have a very small jaw, so the plastic really bothers me.
I'm a fan of the plain vanilla bean cupcake myself. Any old frosting will do, but both my kids would disagree and insist that it needs to be pink.
Well heck. No offer letter today either. If nothing comes in tomorrow, I'll have to figure out how to gently ask what is happening.
This is wreaking havoc on my nerves. I mean, I know the basics of what should be in the letter, but there has to be more to it for it to take this long. She supposedly had the draft done last Thursday.

It's supposed to be email, right?
That was my understanding. When I spoke with HR and my future boss last Thursday they each said that the draft was in the work and I should see something Friday or early this week. So one would assume that means e-mail. No other way for me to get it that quickly.
For anyone curious about my relationship with patience, see my tag.
I hear ya on the patience.
I decided to celebrate my new cupcake carrier by making cupcakes. But the problem is, I decided to get FANCY. Cause I also had a new zester.
So I tried to make cupcakes that I would then fill with lime curd, and top with meringue.
The lime curd is liquid, and the meringue is a mess (I think I overbeat it). I made some of the meringue into cookies, and put them in the oven. I figure I can just pour the curd on, if it's not thicker, and cement the meringue cookie to the top of cupcake with some of the not-right meringue.
Or something.
Sadly, I'm taking these to someone's house to be dessert. Er...I perhaps should've planned better.
OTOH, it's almost 6pm, and I don't have to be there til 7. I suppose I could make chocolate cupcakes...though I'm not sure I have any more cupcake sleeve thingies.

There's a strong possibility you didn't hear anything today because it was MLK Day, and even if it wasn't a company-wide holiday, maybe the key person (or people) involved in getting the letter to you wasn't in today.
Or possibly it was sent snail mail b/c of the need for it to be hard copy, in which case there'd be no letter today due to the mail not running on the holiday.
