Anya, the Shopkeepers of America called. They wanted me to tell you that 'please go' just got replaced with 'have a nice day.'

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Take the basic skills you have and figure the rest out." If I don't immediately know the answer, I at least know where to look for it.

Supposidly this is what is getting me this current job offer. Which could show up today. Or Monday. Every time my e-mail pings I jump.

move out and draw fire

{{{GC}}}

FWIW, this:

Plus her mom did something really shitty last night that hurt my feelings and pissed off GF and we can't say/do anything about it because she's going through shit with her husband dying in the hospital.

was probably due to her mother's mental and emotional state. Her filters are probably pretty thin right now too.

I'm having a cranktastic day, but at least I finally have an office chair. Sitting on the floor was comfy but not super-professional.

And I need a babysitter Sunday, as ours canceled. Argh!

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Thanks y'all. That'll really help me with my confidence in the interview. So much better to be solid with what I know I can do than to fake it.

Really, I can't tell you how much that helps.

This. I'm sorry the universe seems to be working against y'all right now. Sane~ma for you both.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Did the apocalypse come and no one told me? There are no customers bothering us at the moment. Of course, I've just cursed us with double digit queues and triple-digit wait times, I'm sure.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Personally, I think the most important thing is for people to be educated about what individual cold meds actually do, so you can treat the symptoms that are actually bothering you.

This is especially true for coughs, where usually you want either the suppressant or the expectorant, not both.

On the cold remedy - these days I fix myself hot herbal tea with lemon and honey and gargle with salt water when I have a sore throat. I can't take most OTC medications, so that's about all I can do. I can and do take Mucinex - it helps keep me from getting a sinus infection.

I recently tried the two cloves of crushed garlic thing, taken in something like applesauce or a liquid. (If you don't chew it, you don't get garlic breath). That seemed to really keep symtoms away on the days I needed it during my long spell of ick.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Thanks, guys. I've moved from raging to depressed, which I guess is a little better.

Vortex, ~ma to you.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

This is especially true for coughs, where usually you want either the suppressant or the expectorant, not both.

I think that depends on the expectorant, actually.

Mucinex DM is the two together.

The guai still thins and loosens the mucus even though the dextromethorphan keeps you from coughing it out.
