Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I am not a morning person by nature, but more than a decade of school hours has trained my body into reasonable functionality once I shower. If I don't shower? No way.

Not school, but having to run in the mornings and then shower has done the same thing. I have to shower in the morning, otherwise I can't wake up fully. And the morning run is a nice way to get it done before anything else interferes.

It has had the side effect of making me dependent on coffee, though. Trade-offs....

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

I didn't used to be a morning person, but when I shifted my work hours, I kinda had to be.

I've been working day hours for most of my adult life, and still nothing. I even worked a 6 AM shift for a few weeks. But I think my body is wired HARD toward the afternoon-evening schedule. Alas, there are very few schools that operate on that schedule, so I'm sort of resigned to being sleep-deprived for the rest of my working life.

God, that's depressing. Because I really do think I only operate at about 3/4 capacity without enough sleep.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

First class sounds fantastic, Aimee!

I'm sure you knocked their socks off, Daisy Jane. I can imagine the job not being a good fit for you, that happens, but I can't imagine you not giving a great interview.

I can force myself to be perky and cheerful pretty much any time. My natural state is to wake up slowly, ease into the day by sipping coffee (preferably made for me by someone else) for several hours, maybe getting one thing done and then taking a siesta.

San Francisco!

I would if I could.

I'm leaning toward wonton soup for lunch, but what should I have with it?

That awesome sandwich place down the street? (Mmm, Pita Club).

I'm not a morning person, and I don't drink coffee. Therefore, Gronk.

We need a good deli here. All we have is subway, and I suppose they're adequate when you need to carbo load, but I want a REAL sandwich.

This is one of my friend (in Pasadena)'s biggest gripes. She and I both have major Submarina addiction, and you guys don't have them back there. Subway is So Very Not The Same.
