You are apparently not down the rabbit hole that is Comcast. I loathe them, but they're the only cable company that serves my area and the satellite people tell me I have have too many trees.

A-men. I just got off the phone with them, and in addition to the $17 more a month for the HD box and DVR, they're charging $35 for the installation (half for installation, half for activation) and $100 for a deposit for the damn box, which I had to pay now before they would schedule the delivery time. Now I have to make sure I get off work at the bookstore in time for the Saturday afternoon delivery on the 26th.

Yay for me! I have set up utilities at my new place. Except internet, because i'm back and forth between Qwest (through which i have phone service, but is slow) and Comcast. Both cost lots. I am reticent to get involved with Comcast due to their less than stellar reputation. And who knows, maybe there's open wireless in the building already that the landlord doesn't know about? Ok, that's a poor and dangerous idea with all the online banking and financial stuff i do.....
But i'm pleased for having phone, electric, and gas set up! I feel like a grownup.

I have tomorrow off so I'll probably make something, maybe pasta & sauce. Tonight I'll be scrounging for leftovers. My roommate cleaned the bathroom. And the kitchen and laundry room floors, and vacuumed the living room. And yesterday he paid up all the month's bills in advance. It's so nice having one good roommate.
Aack. Slacker co-worker's out with another "migraine". Coincidentally enough, the day that all the reports have to be run whether he's here or not. It's quarter to 4, and I'm just finally getting to do, y'know, MY job.
Not like I wanted to get anything else accomplished today. Nope.
Maybe I can actually hang with y'alls tonight. Maybe. But probably not before.
