Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I was wondering what was going on downstairs and I just realized it's the sound of Fay's voice blaring out over speakers as Jilli is listening to one of her readings while doing chores.
Is this online? If so, how have I managed to miss it, and link please? If not, then I'll just have to sit here being oh, so very jealous of Jilli.
Three Peckered Billy Goat
I love that this is an Alaskan coffee. Of course, Alaskan coffee always seems just wrong to me, but I love it anyway. Usually, I live with cheapo supermarket brew coffee, but my very favorite is Illy. OMG, Italians know how to do coffee.
That is presupposing that Seasonale is not excluded from their formulary.
apparently, that's the issue, they just don't cover seasonale.
Vortex, I have given up on getting my insurance to cover anything but the traditional birth control. I fought for the last two years to get them to understand that my doctor had prescribed continuous pills with no placeboes, and they refused to accept that or cover it. Luckily, I have an awesome doctor who just prescribed Lybrel (the new year-round NO PERIODS pill) and then gave me ten months of free samples. Loving the new pill, btw. Spotted the first week, but nothing since, and I feel good.
My crappy BlueCross coverage still accepts that my Rx states to take only active pills, no placebos, and will cover refills after 21 days, instead of 28. No problem with that, three years in. They will only pay for one pack at a time, tho, which is a PIA. No option for mail order 3 months at a time that Kaiser provides (but Kaiser doesn't include my Rx - Yaz - in their formulary.)
We should do that when Cheney dies.
One problem. He has no heart.
Had a fun Buffistas day. Finally meeting P-C. Starting with an unusual museum with Sean & S, and ending at ND & KT adding Erin_O & Laga. All in all. Fun times!
Ok, I have less than five minutes to go, and I'm heading outside to watch the fireworks from my balcony. Happy New Year everyone!
billytea, NO SPOILERS! Happy New Year!
Spoiler:
So far, 2008 has been shrouded in darkness. I believe the Gharlaks have finally stolen the Sun. Brave souls around the city have lit sparkling multicoloured lights to stave off the eternal night, but I fear they can't hold out for long.
Oh, and so far, 2008's rate of occurrence of smooches has proven more than adequate.
Cheers!
Happy New Year, billytea!
{{{JZ}}} No advice from this childless Bitch, but lots of hugs and sympathy.
And no insurance advice. I usually let my doctors fight it out with the insurance company. Not once have they lost, so I just let them do the fun stuff.
In memememe news, I just got an e-mail from the woman I am staying with in St. Thomas. She has tracked down a coffee pot! W00t!
I'm assured that all of this is normal.
And that it passes, like all things do.
they do say this. same people refuse to watch the sprog pound the floor while I go out to do some therapeutic shopping.
We are home from a monumental trip to baltimore and dc. Got in at 6, then went over to a neighbors for new years eve eve drinks. Back by 9 (!) and to bed without unpacking and I woke up with the cold from hell about 5am.
I do not want to spend the first day of 2008 sick. I'm pounding orange juice.
The highlight of the whole trip was brunch - it was great to see Vortex & Meara again, and to finally meet Brenda and Java Chick and Toddson, see Raq and Mal one more time and to know Sparky was sitting at the other end of the table rolling her eyes at me. DH loved meeting you all, and totally agrees that there should be a sigOT f2f, possibly at the bar down the street, next time. I can't convince him that it should be a bar that carries fernet. yet.
