It's simple. I slap 'em around a bit, torture 'em, make their lives hell...Sure, the nice guys'll run away, but every now and then you'll find a prince like Spike who gets off on it.

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

The things I miss when I actually work at work.

My first big concert was Shaun Cassidy.

I knew there was a reason (or two or three) that I liked Suzi!

I was looking forward to the concert for weeks when the Hartford Civic Center roof collapsed and it was cancelled. One of the longest weeks of my life was waiting to hear if it would be rescheduled. And then I was really lucky to have a Mom willing to drive all the way to New Haven and kill time while I went with two friends.

ION, cancer does indeed suck.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

{{Susan}}, {{GC & GF & GF dad}}.

Yay for good Teppy Dad news! Although I agree with how odd that sounds.

Oy, I meant to say that too. I'm glad your dad is going to be okay, Tep.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Hugs to everyone who needs them

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I bit off all my fingernails today worrying about how I'm going to tell my roommate that paying the bills on time is not negotiable. Yesterday I asked him if my reminding him sooner would help him pay on time. He said yes, but then hemmed and hawed and finally told me he just doesn't make enough money. I'm really sorry but neither do I.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I'm so sorry, Susan. And GC & GF. And all the people here dealing with the agony of loved ones suffering with illness. All kinds of wishes for strength and patience and peace. It is easier to deal with our own pain than that of our family. I hope that we can be here for you to some degree while you are there for them.

This.

He said yes, but then hemmed and hawed and finally told me he just doesn't make enough money. I'm really sorry but neither do I.

Shit! Awkward much. But, yeah - if he can't pay, then you need a new room mate, because you sure as hell can't carry him. He needs to find a place he can afford, if the problem is that he can't afford the place. Because that is Not Fair At All.

First crush objects: James Mason, in The Wicked Lady. Omar Sharif, in Funny Girl. Gemma Craven, in The Slipper and the Rose. (I still vividly recall the bit where she was lying down and there was all this cleavage!)

Our wings are not tired.

Omar Sharif, in Funny Girl

And what about Lawrence of Arabia, Fay?! :P

Well, I was 7 at the time - we're talking earliest crush objects, yes? Musicals were a lot more my cup of tea than hours-long historical epics.

In later years, of course, I duly saw Lawrence of Arabia and was duly smitten. And in much later years I was delighted to find the fanfic. But when I was a wee thing, my crushes were largely on people in musicals or in old movies. Pop stars didn't really ping my radar.

(I remember when my teacher - I would have been 7 or 8 - asked everyone who their favourite stars were, and we made a big bar chart thing to show it. iirc, Madness and The Jam were very popular. The one lone vote for Gemma Craven? That was me.)

Ooh! Avon from Blakes 7. And Servalan.

::represses impulse to insert an apostrophe in the show's title. even though it really really should be there::

Yikes! Ya, hello! You aren't the Bank of Laga here. Ask him whats a way that y'all can work it out. Maybe pre-pay $20/wk (or whatever) rather tan lump sum at end of month. Either way, best of luck. Money talks are never easy.

ION, my ear hurts. Seems everyone in my family is shy to call, but once they do... HOURS on the phone. I just got off the phone with my brother (whom we call the hermit)... THREE HOUR call. It was great to chat with him. Who knew we both love Sudoku.
