I think my first concert was Rick Springfield. After that, it was a lot of hair metal shows. I bet my parents are still kicking themselves for not letting me go to the Duran Duran show.

The "hippest" show I probably hav ever gone to, in terms of alternative music cred, was the KISW Rising Stars concert on my 21st birthday. $7 for the then-unknown bands Mother Love Bone, Soundgarden, and Jane's Addiction.

I got nothing. Work is stressful b/c of this last push to get a 1,076-page textbook to the printer (that's a REALLY FUCKING BIG textbook, y'all, especially when *I'm* the one typesetting it!), and my dad is having -- at this very moment -- yet another angioplasty to open a blocked artery.
So I'm one big seething ball of stress. My eye has been twitching all week. Yayfun.
