[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Tea.

Hil, those cookies sound yummy. I should start baking some brownies and banana bread for tomorrow, but TCG cleaned up the kitchen so nice today that I hate to mess it up.

Banana bread! I need to make banana bread. Tomorrow, I think. Tonight I'm going to Game On Boston with my brother. I plan to get completely trashed. It's the only way I'll make it through the football game!

Sounds like a good plan, vw.

It'll be fun, and he'll drive me back to my place, so totally a good plan.

Maybe he'll try to explain football to me. Maybe he'll give up like he usually does.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I hate coffee. It is false advertising - smells delicious and then tastes horrid. All bitter and icky. I get my caffeine from dark chocolate, tea, or (in occasional desperation) soda.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Woke up with a killer headache and I have too much to do. Anyone want to come clean my room, vacuum the house, and grocery shop for tomorrow night?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Maybe he'll try to explain football to me. Maybe he'll give up like he usually does.
It's nice to have traditions.

I am home and think my seasonal grinchiness is fading. Hard to tell precisely because the darling niecephews sent me home with a virus but it's nearly January! Yay January!

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

In Britain, people mostly drink instant. Even if there's a working coffee pot sitting around, in many cases.

STILL? I remember that from when I worked in London in 1993. There was a perfectly good coffee maker, but everyone drank instant. I thought it was broken at first. I finally asked when it would be fixed and was told that everyone preferred instant. (which turned out to be not so true. when I started making coffee, it went very quickly. No one bothered to make it, but they wanted to drink it. Men!)

this was also the beginning of my coffee addiction. There was a very cute guy in the next office that drank a lot of tea. From my desk, I could see him walk past the door on the way to the kitchen, so I would get a cup of coffee and chat with him while he waited for the kettle to heat.
