there have been white witch stories in the near by canyon. Looks like someone made a blair witch style movie

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I didn't mention last week cause I was still processing and holding it to myself for a bit, but Joe and I got to see The Lion King at the Detroit Opera House last Wednesday.
Hands down, the most beautiful stage production I have ever seen. Especially with that level of tech, which Disney was able to make look non-tech.
I was and am, awed by it. And want to see it again. And again.
I have a friend who was a dresser/costumer on The Lion King in London, so she saw it hundreds of times, and she still thinks it's one of the greatest shows she's ever seen.

Did you know we could do that?
Oh, how cool! I've never seen LK, but I've heard nothing but good things about it.
I was amazed by how much I loved The Lion King when I saw it here (last summer I believe). I expected to like it/hoped I wasn't spoiled by the hype. I freakin' loved it. During the opening ( Circle of Life ), I actually wept. No one was more startled than me. Flippin' brilliant.

It's amazing what happens when you hand a genius a blank check.
For a minute there, I saw real vision from nasty ol' corporate entertainment land... but then they got over it.
We saw the LA production and must have no magic in our hearts because we were kind of meh on it. Looked beautiful, though.

Preach it.
The movie has been my all-time favorite Disney cartoon for yonks. When they showed "Circle of Life" as a trailer before "The Three Musketeers", I cried.
I saw the movie in the theater 6 times. Cried every time.
I was at Suncoast picking up my pre-reserved VHS copy and they played it while I was waiting. And I cried.
Joe was impressed I made a whole three notes in at the stage show before I broke.
Making Rafikki female was genius, IMHO, because it's hard to follow RG anyway and ours was amazing. I've never laughed so hard.
I was also impressed by the fact that out of the whole company we saw, only 5 people weren't African American.
Dana: Oh, my God! Have you two lived?
Dan: Dana, what--?
Dana: I don't think you've lived. I don't think you've lived until you have seen this show.
Isaac: You liked it?
Dana: Liked it? I don't know where to start.
Isaac: That's wonderful.
Dana: I honestly, I don't know where to start.
Isaac: Why don't you organize your thoughts and get back to us?
Dana: The lights went out, and this woman, with a voice like thunder, this woman, she summons all the animals of the jungle to appear and honor the birth of the new lion king. She summons the animals with her voice. And do you know, do you know what happens next?
Dan: The animals appear?
Dana: The animals appear! Oh, I got goosebumps. It was exactly where I was meant to be at that moment. I gotta go tell everybody. Can I go tell everybody?
Isaac: Go tell everybody.
Dana: Thank you, Isaac.
Isaac: You're welcome.
Dana: Thank you for the tickets.
Isaac: You're welcome.
Dana: Thank you for everything. Thank you for opening my eyes to possibilities that would have gone heretofore unexplored in a life that while ultimately--
Isaac: Go, go.
