Can I join that group hug? (It's good to see you, Karl.)

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2007: Heaven's Just a Funky Moose
Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2007? Don't think we've forgotten about you.
Yay! Ginger-hugging!
(Good to see you, too.)
Yay, Karl!
There's group hugging? ::looks hopeful::
My S.S. gift is just about done, and ready to be wrapped and sent on its way. By Tuesday, I hope. Wednesday latest.
Year-end posting will have to wait. This has been a hell of a year. I may simply end up saying, "It's over, yay!" and waiting for 2008 to surprise me with wonderfulness.

My 2007(for those of you scoring at home. Even if you're alone.)

-Number of times it actually amused somebody:20
Probably the most significant thing I've done this year is get beyond my Luddite tendencies and actually learn to post things in html. It is, perhaps not life-altering, as it gives me another fandom to immerse myself in, but it feels like it's been a really long time since I could track my growth in something, so that was a great feeling. Also, they can count on me now when something happens so I feel like I've developed some proficiency in the intervening ten months. I've written two widely-praised pop culture essays for my friends down at High Hat, and I'm still working hard to find my place in the non-virtual world.

C'mon in, cuddle up and make yourselves comfortable.
And by comfortable...we mean...
...porn!
Karl!
Are y'all bogarting the Karl in here? Can I join the corner snug?
I haven't done SS for a couple of years, not even slackery, because of massive fail and self-flaggelating. It's why I don't own a dog. (I let down the people I love--D. Winchester) I don't have a tree up. Yet. But I made a promise last year and I have this week to keep it, so I don't count it as failure quite yet. The outside decorations are up, the mail-away gifts are mailed, even if late.
There probably won't be much of a year-end update from me, since this year has been mostly dormant; hopefully I've had time for recovery and regroup. Maybe I'm ready to re-emerge and re-engage more in 2008.
