Goodbye and Good Riddance 2007: Heaven's Just a Funky Moose

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2007? Don't think we've forgotten about you.

Canadia TOTALLY throws off the rythm of "Blame Canada" though.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

As the queen of procrastination, I don't want to make anyone feel guilty, but I guess I should mention that I haven't gotten a package.

What Ginger said, except I'm a mere princess of procrastination. Far be it for me to usurp her authority.

I'm hoping the post office didn't eat it, but if they delivered it, I hope that it wasn't stolen off the front porch.

Hi!

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Rookies. I haven't even gotten around to signing up for the 2005 Slacker exchange yet.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

OMG, Maria is made of awesome!

Thank you, C Krit Santa!!! There was a box, and it was big, and the Thai ladies who staff the office shared my squee at the parcel-receiving (along with, I think, some comments on the fact that I am beautiful, or possibly pregnant, or perhaps cute like a toddler - there was a general sense of compliment-giving, with particular reference to the co-ordinating red silk skirt, red lipstick and red-stoned ear-rings...but then there was also a sort of waddling walk and the word 'baby', so God knows. But I think they meant well), and then I got it upstairs and opened it with much excitement (and much curiosity from the cat), and everything was beautifully wrapped!!! And there was an excellent notebook-thingy, and scrumptious-looking chocolate (which I will put in the freezer and save for In Case Of Emergency), and a book of cocktails (for when Parents get very grumpy and troublesome) and a teeeny wee Pirates of the Caribbean game, with a teeny wee die, AND a huge and magnificent book full of the artwork of Pirates of the Caribbean which is just OMG STUNNING!!!

Thank you thank you thank you! It's lovely! And so thoughtful! And did I mention the lovely?

Hooray! I'm so glad you like it, and I hope it was worth the wait. (Nothing like stretching out the holiday season.)

I had to thumb through the PotC artwork book before I sent it off because I, uh, had to make sure that it would be perfect for you. (Yeah, that's a valid reason....) I think I may have to get one for myself.

I also debated whether to send you the chocolate, but I figured that it could be used as the emergency stash or a treat when you've gotten through the induction phase. Besides, it's uber-dark chocolate which is good for you. It's health food.

You were a pleasure to shop for, Fay. I had to make sure that your first Seekrit Santa exchange was worth it.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I just had an worrying thought... I still haven't gotten any seekrit slacker stuff yet, but now I'm concerned that the default address my slacker got may have been my work address, where of course I no longer work. I

f something was sent to my old work addy and actually made it to my floor, someone would've grabbed it and set it aside for me because they know I live right around the corner and come back sometimes to visit, but if the central mailroom had one of its periodic spasms of efficiency it may have grabbed the stuff, dumped it on a "No longer here, return to sender pile" and then completely forgotten about it.

Swouncing

JZ, the address you gave is in Frederick St.

OK, it seems like several people didn't get their packages yet. It seems like some of the lateness is due to the post office, so there's nothing I can do about that.

However, if any of you still didn't get any gift, please e-mail me (profile address), so that I can ping your Secret Santa and find out what's going on. Nobody should remain giftless!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

It looks like I'll finally mail my Slacker prezzies tomorrow. Hopefully they make up in awesomeness what they lack in timeliness.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I have slacker presents to mail for ND since he forgot to do so before he left for MouseCruise. Putting somone else is charge of your slacker present takes the slack to a whole new level!
