I got a "we missed you" slip in my mail box today. I went out shopping and I did not get back in time to catch the mailman. And now I can't pick up my Seekrit Santa present until Wednesday. ::thinks positive:: At least my Christmas will last a little bit longer that way!
Goodbye and Good Riddance 2007: Heaven's Just a Funky Moose
Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2007? Don't think we've forgotten about you.
I've been meaning to watch Due South...
I rented the series from netflix last month! I know, how could I have not watched such a great series? I was so obsessed with my Fraser immersion that my family asked if I was still watching "that Canadian show." Little do they know I've started recording Corner Gas just to spite them. I can't help it. I'm addicted.
I've loved reading the seekrit Santa stories on Christmas Eve. Often said, but never enough: You guys rock!
Watching Due South has been kind of bizarre for me as I was introduced to Paul Gross by Slings & Arrows so I keep finding myself wondering why Geoffrey Tennant is being so polite.
Hee! I rented "Men with Brooms" right after and was shocked, shocked I say, to hear PG curse. /due South hijacking
Now I return you to your regularly scheduled gift giving and end of year summaries.
I have a good feeling about 2008.
Someone should make a Paul Gross introduction/reaction flow-chart.
Hee. I actually have Due South on my netflix list, and it's even close to the top, so I think I'm good, but thanks!
Here and I had thought I was the last Buffista alive to find Due South.
I got into Due South this summer when I was busy coming down with asthma. I think I had seen an ep or two when it was on tv, but I mostly saw Slings and Arrows first. Then, when I was having job issues, I bought a couple of movies (Men With Brooms and a western where a young Paul Gross mainly chews a toothpick and looks HOT). Yes, Paul Gross has become my antidepressant of choice. Cheaper than meds!
I can't believe I'm writing about this on Christmas morning, but I'm home from midnight service and although I was exhausted before the service, I'm not at all sleepy now. Stoopid sleep cycles or lack thereof.
I'm going to be an aunt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In August!!! I can't telll you how excited I am!
And my Secret Santa present came today! There was a knock at the door and it wasn't Santa, but one of his helpers disguised as the mailman.
Amy sent wonderful stuff0-- a mix CD I'm listening to right now. A beautiful dragonfly necklace, a beautiful perfume bottle with flowers and the stopper is a dragonfly (purple!) lighting on a flower. Then there were homemade cookies that taste so good. Winnie the Pooh playing cards and magnet and a purple glittery butterfly ornament.
Plus I got some nice gifts from my parents and the original cast recording of Sweeney Todd from my brother so I'm all set. Just have to go to the family thing in a little while.
That's great, askye!
Everytime I see something with a dragonfly on it. I think of you.
oh questor that's cool.
I can't believe it came on Christmas Day, askye! How cool is that?
So glad you liked everything. I had a lot of fun picking it all out.
