Illyria: We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief? Wesley: There's love. There's hope...for some. There's hope that you'll find something worthy...that your life will lead you to some joy...that after everything...you can still be surprised. Illyria: Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Anyone know a way to look up the L&L of places somehow?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks, dcp. I think it'll take a combination of sites for me to find some of the more unlabelled latitudes and longitudes, but especially that first site will be helpful.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Speaking of L&L, a friend just gave us this [link]

for a housewarming present. So freaking cool.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Are you doing the 365 portraits thing? I'm wondering if I can be arsed to keep posting them to LJ.

I like them, FWIW.

Awesome! I just ran over there and left some chocolate chip cookies and a bottle of holiday ale at the front desk for him.

JZ, you KICK ASS.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I am Teppy on the 365 thing.

That is cool. I want to have one and give everyone now. Perfect for housewarming; clever friends.

I am as Teppy and Debet WRT the 365 day thing, ita. Your portrait creating skills (there must be a better way to phrase that) are really engaging. Or, the portraits are engaging and the skills are, uh, skillful. Can't word today, sorry.

Just to prove that I'm complex and have layers, tomorrow I'll be sure to sneak over and leave a side of bacon for Lee.

This made me laugh and laugh (sorry, Lee).

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I should be Doing Things, but ugh! I did clean the tub and toilet, fully unpacked one bag, and have been fiddling with my iPod. I can't quite figure out what I want on there, and how to make it happen, since it can't hold everything.

Do you rate your music, Jesse? That's the easiest way to figure out what musiic to put on there.

hip deep in pie

Jesse, if you're going to be using the iPod for commuting, look into podcasts. I've been listening to a lot of Buffista NPR favourites on my commutes (TAL, WWDTM, Car Talk). I recently discovered the Savage Love podcast, and have been loving it. (Though laughing like a drain while sitting on a bus over a question on ass hair is a little embarrassing.)

Yeah, but I lost a lot of that recently, so I'm fiddling around with high- and un-rated stuff, and maybe I want that whole album, even though some of the songs are low-rated and and and....

Oh, and I lost all of my playlists, too, so I'm trying to recreate those as well, because that's how I like to listen, really.

And podcasts! I want those, too! Although I am apprehensive of the laughing out loud in public part. And the likelihood of reading less kind of weirds me out.

I have Issues.
