According to the flight tracker at fboweb.com and its Google Earth integration, Tom Scola's plane just flew over Flint, Michigan, at 32,000 feet. ETA in San Francisco is 12:03 a.m.
P. S. Google Earth is amazing. I finally have a computer that can run it, and...wow. Just wow.
I'm waiting at my gate in Burbank. Plane doesn't board for another hour. Found an outlet to plug laptop in so I'm not sucking battery, set it on top of my suitcase and have set up my own wee office in Jet Blue.
Does anyone know whether Tom is coming straight to his hotel when he gets in tonight, or just crashing on someone's couch until tomorrow?
As far as I know straight to his hotel. He didn't ask me for a ride or anything.
Ohhh! Monday, ita! Will your sis still be here?
As far as I know straight to his hotel.
Awesome! I just ran over there and left some chocolate chip cookies and a bottle of holiday ale at the front desk for him.
You know what's more fun than almost anything? Doing sneaky good deeds (especially for Tom Scola), that's what!
JZ=awesome. There was something earlier that I meant to copy what JZ said, but now I forget what it was. But it seems like a good policy, at any rate.
Just to prove that I'm complex and have layers, tomorrow I'll be sure to sneak over and leave a side of bacon for Lee.
