Thanks, guys.
My heart is breaking for my dad. My sister said when he found out he just sat down on the couch with his head in his hands and couldn't speak. Uncle Wes was a great guy. He had been getting really absent minded and paranoid. He had to put his wife in a nursing home last year (bad heart & severe arthritis) and then he got his diagnosis. I could totally see my dad doing the same thing in those circumstances. I feel awful for my cousin, Barry, who was driving over there this weekend to try to convince his dad to move in with him so they could take better care of him. Now he has to go and pick up his dad and make funeral arrangements.
I'm really going to miss him, too.
God, Cashmere, that's awful. Peace to you and yours.
Oh, Cashmere, that's so terrible. Much strength to the family.
Put any large containers of liquids in you checked baggage and you will be fine. Carryon I have had all kinds of random things confiscated depending on the zealotry of the TSA agent. These have included toothpaste that was not gel and solid deoderant that was also not gel.
I'm so sorry Cash. Words are inadequate, but I'm thinking of your family.

I generally put all the liquid stuff in checked baggage, but I have spaced out and forgotten and walked through with all kinds of stuff in carry on. It hasn't caused a problem yet. No doubt I don't fit the profile at all.
Safe travels, Tom. Fun with the SFistas well worth the hopefully short wait.
I set off the roomba. The cats aren't terrified. They sorta follow it. I think it confuses them. It is kinda awesome. Does a pretty decent job on the bedroom carpet. Not a sub for the regular vacuum, but it goes UNDER THE BED. I like it.
Mr. Kitty is being a ball of need. He got bathed and now keeps trying to sit on the keyboard of the laptop. Maybe because it is warm?
