Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I bring all my prescriptions on the plane in my purse. I have to take one before bed, and one when i wake up, so on a redeye they gotta come with me.

They don't bug about that stuff.

Further evidence of horseshit.

Do I have to keep my pills in the bottles they came in from the pharmacy

For the most part, yes, Jilli. When I had to travel with meds, I kept everything with bottles (in hand carried luggage). With checked bags it might not matter.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

They sell TSA approved empty bottles to put stuff in, I've seen them at Rite-Aid.

This year, my mother decided that my Amazon wish list confused her, so she got me a set of them instead.

hip deep in pie

Do I have to keep my pills in the bottles they came in from the pharmacy, or can I put them in a pill box?

I just took all my medicines (vitamins and perscriptions) in one of those plastic pill containers with no problem. But then again, I also just took my new TiVo (TiVO!!) as a carryon item even though it was too big. But there was no way I was letting the baggage handlers get their mits on it. Anything vaguely liquid, I just checked.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Guess what I have? An iPod! I'm getting it all set up now. We'll see how this goes. It sure is cute.

Hee. Funny cats. I need to bathe one shortly....sigh.

My new trick, instead of finding a water fountain post-security, is to go to a coffee place or whatever and ask them to fill it, please. Much less messy. So far, it's bemused every cashier and they go right ahead and do it.

Oooh, I forgot, I got another awesome present from the parents: a handpieced quilt (and shams.) It's a blue sunburst-y pattern and I love it. Will get pix eventually. Mom wasn't sure if I would, so waited to show it to me until after xmas with "I wanted to see your reaction. I wouldn't want you to take it out of obligation!" Hee. Anyway, I need to get a hanger for it. I'd probably only use it on the bed in warmer weather than now, if at all (cats, hrm,) and I'd like to display it in the meantime. Gotta measure it this weekend and see if it could hang in the LR.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Part of the reason I ended up at the DMV late on a Friday afternoon was because we've been putting off getting our Wisconsin drivers' licenses and I finally decided to bite the bullet and get it done, since it should have been done a month ago.

It went pretty well except for the fact that my sister called my mobile while I was in line and told me one of my favorite uncles might have committed suicide today. My dad's wrecked (it was the brother he was closest to). Uncle Wes was in his 70's and had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's last year. Still don't know for sure if he shot himself. I'm waiting for word from my cousin who is on his way over there.

Way to go out with a bang, 2007. Fuck you very much.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Any DCistas around? I have to book a flight for one of my bosses to a conference in Falls Church, VA; the conference website says it's pretty much equidistant from Dulles or Joey Ramone Memorial. The distance may be the same, but I thought I should check whether one airport is markedly nicer (or wretcheder) than the other, or whether one will be an easier drive to Falls Church. Recs?

I'll just busy myself with Grace and Noah pictures while I'm waiting.
