Jayne: What're you gonna tell the others? Mal: About what? Jayne: About why I'm dead. Mal: Hadn't thought about it. Jayne: Make something up. Don't tell 'em what I did.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

2007 represents my nadir in gift-giving. Couldn't help you, Kat.

Wow, lots of night shift around here tonight. [Edit: um, not that I've actually read your conversation or anything, how nice of me. I just skipped, and here y'all are.]

I don't think even drugs could right this messed up sleep schedule. It's going to take the four day weekend. Well, curing the migraine wouldn't hurt, because then I wouldn't feel forced to spend the days in bed too.

Oh, I'm all for that.

I have an Israeli friend who read Allyson's book, followed the link to b.org, played lots and lots with the BRQG, and she just e-mailed me saying "ita always says what I think, but she manages to phrase things I want to say much better than I ever would". So you sorta have an Israeli fan. You have to share her with billytea, though, because he totally charmed her, as well.

Sharing her with billytea? Can't fight that, really. Couldn't even begin to. I'm very flattered, and please tell her I said so.

So, if Egypt copyrights the pyramids, but it doesn't extend to instances like the Luxor Hotel, what does it apply to, and what's the point again?

iTunes movie rentals?

Now this is crafty.

I definitely will.

She said "that board is addictive". I smiled my "duh!" to myself.

She then said she's trying to read Natter, and is so many posts behind, somewhen in November. I'm still wondering how to tell her about the attic, the pace in which things sometimes move around here, and the changes in threads. I'll have to find a way before Natter 56, I guess.

Um, each time a math teacher tries to explain something in spatial geometry, he has to pay a tax to the Egyptian government?

Wired picks their foot in mouth statements for 2007--firstly I encourage people to go out and be really stupid over the next few days so they have to retract.

Secondly, I love the comment (and subsequent revelations) from Watson.

Asteroid to hit Mars? I hope the rovers are okay.

Amazon's still pushing their one-click patent. I guess my boycott still stands.

Inflight internet to be filtered. No Skype, maybe, and no porn.

Hee.

I love the comment (and subsequent revelations) from Watson.

Even if the timing had been planned, it couldn't have been better.

[Edit: I always think "Holmes" when I see "Watson", not "genome". Silly brain.]

Benazir Bhutto has been assassinated in a bombing. This can't be good.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Benazir Bhutto has been assassinated in a bombing

Woah!
