Yeah, that's the meaning I'm dealing with. Gases it is. (But it still looks weird.)

because he seems at least as dictatorially inclined as Bush
That is my primary concern about Giuliani, and I haven't heard anything from New Yorkistas to counter it. I don't really find Romney or McCain scary. I'd be concerned that Thompson would be too hawkish.

I don't guess I find McCain scary, exactly--he's just managed to fritter away every bit of respect I had for him back in 2000. Plus, I don't think he's going to win. Romney bugs me because I don't know what he stands for and therefore don't trust him. And Thompson just doesn't seem like his head is in the game, which scares me just like it did with Bush at the beginning.

I think it was possible for you to hear the sonic booms.
Yeah, of the current GOP candidates, McCain is probably the least scary to me. (1) Because he's the most anti-torture candidate, and (2) because his campaign is deader than a dead thing.
Guiliani is pro-torture (among other things) and could actually win. That's a much worse combination in my book.
That would be really cool, but I haven't heard anything.
I think the local channel NY1 is on a campaign to personally defeat Giuliani.

NY1 is made of awesome.
