Do you know the flight number and airline? If you do, you can check on-line, or phone the airline.

Nope! I have no idea what those are.

Well, here is a list of flights scheduled to arrive in LAX between 6:00 A.M. and 9:00 A.M. on the 27th.

You can also change the query to check planes from 3:00 A.M to 6:00 AM. How you narrow it down to spot your friends flight I don't know. I presume she also did not tell you which city she was changing planes in? For all you know she could have been routed through San Francisco or Honolulu?

Yeah, that's precisely the problem. I seriously have no idea whatsoever. I know the country she started out in, and the airport she's arriving at, that's it. Her husband is out of town also, and he's not picking up his phone either, though his is at least turned on. Her brother in law, who's with her husband, is also not answering his phone. And even if I could figure out a way to get in contact with her family in Europe, none of them speak any English. This is beginning to get very frustrating. And worrying. Thank you for your help, though!

ETA: I guess I should've been calling on the saints, but I finally heard from her. She had a visa problem, and she wasn't able to get on a plane at all. So, no LAX for me tonight. Yay!

I wish I were ever slightly sleepy.

Well, crap, ita, I wish I'd known you wanted the sleepy. I stole it. I stole it and nocturnalized myself! I've been asleep since 3PM. Gr. Argh.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks, Kat, for bogarting.

Harumph.

I have no idea when I'm getting my sleep schedule back.

Well, I don't know when I'll get mine back either. Dude, don't WANT to be nocturnal.

I'm so totally awake too! I should not have drunk so much Dr. Pepper trying to keep myself alert for the trip to LAX that never happened. Also, best of Craigslist is not putting me to sleep, but it is making me laugh.

How are you guys, other than all the ER-needing and sleeplessness? Would anyone be interested in going to a screening of "27 Dresses" tomorrow night? I'm curious about a movie where it looks like James Marsden actually gets the girl.

I'd kill to go to a movie, but alas. not gonna happen. I need to get a gift for our day care provider. I was thinking a target card, but then I was hoping to think of something more personal too. Thoughts?

I'm sorry a movie isn't going to happen. You're a fun movie date.

I think a target card with his/her name on it is personalized. Otherwise, what sort of interests does this mystery provider have? Do they read? Like dining out? Doing crafty projects? Rooting on sports teams?
