Yes. Men like sports. Men watch the action movie, they eat of the beef, and enjoy to look at the bosoms. A thousand years of avenging our wrongs and that's all you've learned?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Didn't mean to post a rant and run. I love lion tamers and much prefer the top hat versions, but my favorite was THIS guy, [link] who dressed like Liberace-meets-Conan. I saw him live when I was about 11 and fell in love.

Just KNEW that would be Gunther Gebel-Williams before I even clicked it. sighhhhhhhhhhhh

Anybody speak Portuguese? How do you say Portuguese in Portuguese?

CaBill does.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have a tagging obsession. Not graffiti, just adding information to files.

I'm trying to geotag images in Flickr, and I'm coming across difficulty in my Morocco pics, because I can't search for all the local town names, and the maps aren't that detailed. I'm guessing I can enter longitude and latitude coordinates into the search engine, but first I'd need to find out, say, what the L&L for the Todra Gorge is.

Anyone know a way to look up the L&L of places somehow?

Sean, thanks for the drawing props. I've done very little since the migraines started, because I'm shying away from effort. But I'm at least pretending to reassert my image hobbies--I'm doing a photoportrait-a-day for a year challenge, for instance.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

ita -- maybe the US department maps might have that info?

I had some of the leftover cupcakes from our class 'party' yesterday for breakfast, which seems somehow sinful, considering they're all homemade and organic and enough to tempt me downstairs to get them. I need all the incentive I can get in the morning.

I'm tempted by the 365 day thing, especially with the having of a nicer camera, but then I'm confronted with the difficulty of really not liking the way that I look. Of course, I might start taking better care of myself if I did.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

How are you, Jesse? I haven't talked to you in ages.

I know, right? I am currently preparing to leave town, so that's good.

There's that, and there's the absolute requirement that you have to get creative or just snap under the stress. So far, three pics, only one with my face in it.

Could a person do one of those retrospective clips at the end of the year, instead of showing them every day? Then they all have to be the same, and ones you might not like blur in.

OMG, I don't want to be up and at em! But I have to. I guess a shower will get me moving.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

ita, mine are all snapped under stress. By my laptop computer. Because I'm lazy.

At least for now I want to use it as a prod to look at all the functionalities of my cameras, and even maybe use the phone cameras and explore their limitations.

Make that four pics, and faces in two. Just shot one by the glow of the monitor light, no flash.

I love photography--and this way I don't have to harass anyone into posing for me.

Could a person do one of those retrospective clips at the end of the year, instead of showing them every day?

Not in the way the Flickr community does it. I haven't actually joined that pool yet--I've just been tagging mine as I go along. I should. You're not allowed to submit more than five at once, and I'm about to hit that.
