Well, you'd better not be thinking what I think you're thinking, because my answer is the same as always — no threesomes unless it's boy-boy-girl. Or Charlize Theron.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

If the allergy isn't extreme you might ask about keeping the cats confined to one room with a good air purifier. Just a thought.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

Yeah, I don't think her allergy is extreme, since she has a cat. Though she doesn't allow her cat into her bedroom, and she's actually really rarely at her own home, and stays at her partner's apartment instead. However, her brother, who is one of the odder people I know, does live at her house, and he's kind of the sort who would leave the front door wide open, just to test how accurate my statement is that my cats would do injury to themselves if they were allowed outside.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

The only person IRL I really feel comfortable unloading my freak out on is my mom, and she hates it when anything bad happens to me (which I can appreciate), but she hates it so much that she gets very emotional and upset, and I'm always the one left to comfort her about my problems. And that is not nearly as soothing as being able to go completely crazy and freaking the hell out.

Sounds kinda similar to my mother. I went through high school feeling like I was raising a teenager myself.

I went to bed, and have woken up, after getting roughly 2 1/2 hrs sleep. Bah. I do hope you have managed to get some sleep by now, Alibelle.

And how about you, aurelia? Have you been visited by the insomnia fairy as well, or are you on a different shift?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Amazingly, the insomnia fairy didn't visit last night. Which is surprising, considering that I got way too upset about my programming last night. Not to the point of crying or whining, but just despairing that I'll ever really understand delegates and events in C#. Which wouldn't be that big in the scheme of things, but they're KEY to a whole lot of object-oriented programming, so if I can't get them bound correctly and responding when they should, I'm toast.

Spam I just received at work:

Having problems with the length of your dick? Use our medicine, and it will take four fat women and a team of Clydesdales to jack you off.

Can't. Stop. Laughing.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

their trip to the ER isn't too fraught with the idiocy of the medical industry

Ha! Actually, it was long and I had to ask for drugs more pointedly than in a long time. Frustrated my sister because she doesn't know how to fix things.

On the upside, I will probably end up giving her practice on being firm with my hospital requirements.

Ali, I wish I had a magic wand like the one you used for me to find my current apartment.

Okay! Off to bed. I have to be up in an hour and a half.

Life is pain, highness.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Also, way too many people do not accept cats--note to the world: those people are completely lame.

God, that was the worst when shared-apartment hunting with the dog - any place that actually allowed pets, the people generally already had them, and didn't want more.

I hope something turns up quickly.

Though I loved POTUS' "Peaches."

Going to Hamtramck...

Man, I hate it when you all have interesting conversations while I'm away! I take it, by the way, that two girls one cup is arguably more disturbing than goatse? I'm never going to go look, but it would, for reasons that don't need explaining at this juncture, make me feel better to know.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I take it, by the way, that two girls one cup is arguably more disturbing than goatse?

Yeah. Sorta' like how Hamlet is arguably better than Ace Ventura - Pet Detective.

Excellent. a) because it confirms my decision never to go look at it, and b) because, well, reasons that don't need exploring at this juncture.
