So, y'all know how Sars of TWOP and Tomato Nation fame said that if her readers raised whatever amount of money for donorschoose, she'd dress up in a tomato costume and dance around in Rock Center? Yeah, today's the day.

I feel bad regarding the strike for buffistas who will be laid off (though, maybe it will be ultimately beneficial) but I am kind of excited to find out what the networks and studios do! Is it going to be crazy game shows all the time?

I love this post on Metafilter about the WGA strike.

I find it interesting... I know that reality programs are "unscripted", but isn't there someone writing some kind of copy for them? Voiceovers, or something? I'll eat my hat if Ryan Seacrest does all his little intro snippets on the fly. Are those writers not unionized?
One of the articles I read, Aillean, said that reality shows use a lot of non-guild writers.
That's one of the issues they're striking over, Aillenne. They're claiming that the producers are ignoring the rules.

The writers of ANTM went on strike for this reason, can't recall the resolution. They were led by djb, TWoP recapper-turned-writer.
I have decided that restaurants which offer burritos should also put a nap on the menu.
"I'd like a chicken burrito, a coke, and a 15-minute nap after I'm finished eating."
