Tara: That was funny if you've studied Taglarin mystic rites and... are a total dork... Riley: Then how come Xander didn't laugh?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ack! I've got to record that. I missed so much of the 90s video-wise.

I'm sure it'll be on all weekend...and for weekends to come! It's funny how much of the guitar music I don't know at all. I did not listen to guitar musical at all in the early 90s. Or much in the late 90s, for that matter. I think college was my guitar-music peak.

Edit: Wait, I was in college in the early 90s, not high school. The years, they all blur together.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I just made these [link] and they are yum. Plus I cooked up the leftover syrup and berries and have a good amount of gorgeous red syrup and about two bowls of ice cream worth of cranberry compote.

Why don't I have any ice cream, dammit?

Punishingly Intricate

I'm sure it'll be on all weekend...and for weekends to come!

I'm set to record all 5 hours of it!

Ooh, that sounds delicious, brenda.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

First, the pure joy of candy eating, unsullied by regret. Then, the sickness, untainted by any memory of candy eating.

No, I'd know, but there'd be so much less caring. The highs were higher, and we bounced back from the lows so damned quickly.

Those cranberries look beautiful. You need creme anglaise.

Daniel sent me a link to this video, and it made me laugh and laugh. [link] It's kind of dull for 2 minutes and I was all, "Yes, why am I supposed to care?" Then all became clear.

That really improved my mood.

Now I have to go watch Picard get tortured. Lots of good Trek these past few days.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

You need the toffee for energy.

You're good.

I just had mac n' cheese (which Matilda scarfed down, so add another not-babyfood to her list) and a healthy, wholesome salad.

When Matilda hears any kind of music - like say, the Flight of the Conchords theme - she starts grooving and moving and looking around expectantly for a party to break out.

She should hang out with Jesse and Liese watching the top 100 songs of the 90s. Where will "Candy Girl" land?!

Candy Girl isn't 90s, is it?

Geez louise -- it's 83!! [link]

How about Bel Bev Divoe? They're 90s right?
