I am finally starting my Christmas cards. My goal is to get all the family ones done tonight and in the mail tomorrow.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Can I ask for some advice? I have been struck with a major Birthday cold. I had purchased ingredients for a fancy dish for a potluck tomorrow. Is there any to make said fancy dish without engaging in biological warfare? Or should I suck it up, and buy something instead of making the dish I was really looking forward to contributing?
I don't know, Typo, I cook for people when sick with colds all the time, and I don't think I've set off a major contagion yet. You wash you hands before handling food, right? And you won't sneeze on the food? And if it's cooked, even better.
Yeah, I'm really good about the handwashing, and of course would not sneeze on the food. That is really enough to be safe?
Well, I'm certainly no food safety expert, but I usually don't worry about it.
unless it involves hand arranging the food ( like stacked on a stake stuff) I wouldn't worry too much about it. I suspect if you feel well enough to cook, you are ok.
My sympathies to you and your folks, Jessica.
Seriously -- $400 for a 30-course Omakase dinner? Yeah, I *love* me some sushi, but that's INSANE.
Most of the best meals of my life were among the most expensive (though THE most expensive was merely okay), but there's not enough of a quality difference between the $50-60/plate treats and the normal $25-30 casual dining for me to believe that a $400 meal could possibly be worth that much.
I actually went looking for that stuff last week at a store that the Batter website said carries it, but it wasn't there.
Yeah. Your boss is clearly having problems that are exterior to you, and he knows you best and is taking it out on you. He needs to step off.
Seriously. I hope Allyson didn't go to the party, unless she could guarantee not to have to talk to the suck-ass boss.
Typo, are you planning on being in the room with the people when they eat the food? I think you're fine.
