Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

What are some good gifts for a couple with a new baby? Not baby gifts but something they'd appreciate.

A visit from a cleaning crew! Yummy premade dinners, or a GC to a nice dinner place and an offer to babysit. Maybe a soft lap blanket? Best gift we got HANDS DOWN was a tivo but I'm guessing that's out of your price range. Oo! What about 3 months of Netflix?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have a friend I kept offering to babysit for until she finally said they have more offers than they could use, especially given the fact that if they were lucky, they were both home from work with an awake baby for an hour a day, and they wanted that time with the little one. I'm sure that will change in the next couple of years...

Jess, I'm so sorry for your loss.

Jesse, IME offers to babysit went unfulfilled unless said person also gave me a reason to leave the baby for a bit of me time. Like the person who offered to babysit while I went to get a backrub? Yeah, baby!
