I got checked all up and down for my current job, including a basic physical. I asked the doctor what would happen if, say, I couldn't touch my toes like he asked, but he didn't know.
It was weird.
I think Toronto will be fine. At least I finally got them to see the wisdom of flying my engineer in from Los Angeles.
yes, it is who you think it is!
The techy/geeky/fx-folk cabal is growing. More arcane things to eavesdrop on.
Best. Picture. Ever.
Heh, it's Extreme Stuff on My Cat. Without the cat.
But with the cat owner!
oh man. I have a boatload of things to do.
ita, I had to get a physical when I started at the district. AND I have to have my TB test updated every 4 years or something. Which means I have to go to the central office and let them inject me with something then go back and have it read. It makes me twitchy.

I've probably told this story before, but in college this kid showed up to our house party, was extremely obnoxious, and then passed out on the comfy chair at 9:45. So yes, he did get stuff stacked on him.
My only contribution was pointing out where the food coloring was....
Can I say I'm a bit creeped out at the Orwellian level of testing y'all go through for your jobs?! Weird. I had to show somebody a passport to prove I was me, that was about it.

Yeah, I've never had to be tested OR fingerprinted.
I had to be fingerprinted for work at some point. Oh & I had to prove I was either a citizen or legally in the country recently. That made me roll my eyes, cause it is only that I've been working for them for TEN YEARS.
OTOH, the company does a lot of defense or similarly sensitive contracts, so my guess is that they required it of everyone because they couldn't figure out how to do just the sensitive types. Which I'm not, really. There are things that might bring the wrath of the gov't down on me & my employer, but they wouldn't rate a congressional hearing or anything.
