I went to the post office, where there was a crazy line for the windows, but only one person ahead of me at the machine. I almost had a heart attack, though, when she put the first of her many many internationally-addressed cards down on the scale. Luckily, she did the rest in groups.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Have dropped the DH off at the airport for his trip to Detroit. He gets to stay at the Ritz, hobnob with the other automotive journalists, eat a fancy dinner with Ford execs, and visit the crash test labs. Sometimes, the life of a writer is way cool.

Me, I'm at work in my freezing office.
