Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hey bon, what did you want for Christmas your first year in NY? I can't figure out what to get my cousin. She's a new lawyer, recently engaged. So I can't imagine she spends much time at home, and I couldn't pick out clothes for her, and anyway, now I think maybe I should be getting "them" a gift.

Argh.

Oh, that's kind of a fun idea. Although I was supposed to give her a subscription to TONY last year and she never sent me her address! I should probably stick to somthing tangible.

So I just checked my mail, and it has a J.Peterman catalog in it, with a goofy hat and gloves on the cover, and my cousin walks to work, so that might just be it! (The concept, not the $50 Peterman hat.)

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I generally ask for hat, gloves and scarves for Christmas-- it's helpful for lots of reasons. Though TONY and netflix also work. I haven't received any joint gifts for Bob and me so I bet you're in the clear.

OK, at least I have an idea now. Maybe I'll come up with something better, but at least I've got one!

Really? Huh. With M and P it's really that even though they've been together a hundred years, this Thanksgiving was the first family holiday I've seen him at, so he doesn't feel as much like a part of my family. If that makes sense.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

She's a cutie, Aimee. And isn't it funny how well the wee ones can pull off leopard print & pink? Franny had a few outfits in those colors, too.

Thrive to spite them

Shes so pretty! And grown up! In one of those pictures when she smiles she looks like my cousin's little girl at that age.
