Shoe-goo or something similar smeared into boogerish shapes. Xmas or birthday present for the kids. I need to remember to get more foil along with the glue.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

I have to attend the first company christmas party tomorrow night. really don't want to go. for the fourth year in a row, the theme is "gambling night", which was fun the first time and now is boring. i just hope i end up with a GOOD gift this year and not one of the "gag" gifts. meh. at least i'll have my sister to use as a buffer and i won't have to actually socialize with people i don't like(which is most everyone who is going).

we do a White Elephant-like thing too right before we leave for christmas break. except we call it Dirty Santa. there's a $20 limit and i never know what to bring. i usually play it safe and get a gift certificate for somewhere. the guys, inevitably, bring tools of some sort. the boss' gifts are usually the worst. that i had to learn first hand my first or second year here.

Wow, you're really having Casino Night? No way!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Heh.

We just got the rules for our gift exchange, and we're drawing names, the limit is $10, and your item has to start with the recipient's initials. I have in my desk a Jeweled Letter opener, given to JL, my predecessor, several years ago, but they haven't done it since I've been here.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I actually enjoy my office Holiday party.

Good food, free booze, lawers dancing badly. What's not to like?
