I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

if I'm really procrastinating that much on my Yuletide story.

I've been feeling like going clothes shopping. I think it's entirely possible these things are yuletide-related.

You should bleach it and dye it pink

Not so much a fan of the pink.

I've been feeling like going clothes shopping.

I am not allowed to shop for anything unless it involves Christmas presents for other people. I do need a haircut, though. It's at an awkward length and it's making me cranky.

Welcome L.R.

The yuletide season is making me want to stop spending money. That sounds kinda Scrooge-ish. Let me rephrase, it's about the love, friendship and family, not about the money. So I don't need to spend anymore. Of the money that is.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I thnk shrift would do nicely with a bon bon bob.

Er, so to speak. I mean that sharp-edged haircut, not a philosopher-fiancee. Although shrift might not mind one of those as well. Does your hair curl at all when it gets short? (That's why I can't have that kind of bob.) You can do the long pieces in front, and then, when the spirit of Jars does possess you, just color those pieces (go purple! Choose purple!) and be stylish.

hip deep in pie

I recently got my haircut, and while I like the cut, the colour looks really drab. I don't think I can still cling to my claims of being a blond. I'd like to go back for some highlights, but I am trying to avoid spending money like that during the holiday shopping season.

I vote for purple, a nice shade like B148ED.

Punishingly Intricate

sarameg, I'm so sorry for your neighbor. She's lucky to have you there.

And of course, I'm still revelling in having had an actual, professional , human pedicure for the first time in my life. I think it will become a monthly ritual, if only for the massage chairs

I can't believe you'd never had one before! You seem so fancy! You definitely should check out Julia at kiss & makeup for your next one. A little pricey but so worth it!

Thanks for all the condolences. It's so...weird.

I can't believe you'd never had one before! You seem so fancy!

I am very much a DIY type. Keeps me from having to deal with the People. Will keep K&M in mind.

My office smells of burnt bagels and carpet glue. Uhg.

Indeed it does. I couldn't do a bon bon bob unless I ironed my hair straight every morning, and I can't be arsed to get up early enough to make coffee, so I suspect that is not the hairstyle for me.

I see. I myself am a wash & go type of person, so I ended up with a modified bob that is allowed to curl around my ears. That's much less charming when the front is longish and just looks like it is trying to stab you in the eyeballs.

Shall I email you my head? I find it works very nicely for me (although you may not have the cowlicks I do).
