shrift, if you are, can you tell me what it was I needed to get at the store tonight? I have a nagging feeling there's something, but I don't know what.

Garden gnome?
OTOH, xmas travel is booked. Had to board Mister Kitty at the alternate place. I usually book his thanksgiving and xmas stays at the same time, I just forgot this year.
ah, shoot. I hadn't even thought of my petcare needs for xmas time. wonder if any of my normal folk will be around. yikes. Although, now that my parent's psycho cat has passed on I guess I could bring Swifty there for a couple of days.
But, just in case, what is your alternate boarding place??
ION, I am having really divine chicken pot pie from the Irish tavern up the street. It's (savory only) pie day there, evidently!
Ugh. Last night my poor kitty was bleeding. Looks like her claw grew into her paw! So I took her to the vet this am before I came to class. AND DH is home packing up the kitchen so it can get painted this week.
EEEK! Stressy day. Why are we having more stressy days?
Okay, running to my next class. See y'all later.
I had a nice lunch, even though it was just a roast beef sandwich and a salad from the hospital cafeteria.
I am in need of the hive-mind's google-fu... I need a real cite that it is either illegal or prohibited by Visa/Mastercard to charge people a fee to use their credit card. Big! Boss wants to do this because we are now being charged by the university (the uni used to absorb the costs), but I am fairly certain that you can't do that. All I can find is random people saying that you can't do it, but authoritative source.
I would love some chicken tikki masala.
Sadly, I'm recovering from a bout of food poisoning, so it's rice with broth for me.
lisah, it's Advanced Veterinary Complex out on Main St in Reisterstown [link] . It may not be convenient for you (it's 25 minutes up Reisterstown Road from my home, but you can also take 795). They are open later hours and charge only a little more than Mt. Washington. I've also boarded him at a place on York Road in Towson, but I really got no impression of the place one way or another & it was a while ago.

I'm trying to figure out if New England Aquarium tix are a good gift for my dad and nephew. On the one hand, seals and penguins are fun. On the other, sharks are scary.
I know I want to get my dad something that he can enjoy with my nephew, because he still thanks me for the amusement park tix I sent him for father's day everytime I talk to him.
Hmmmmm.
I think the Children's Museum would also be fun. We went last year, but he's almost three now and might enjoy it more.
Sharks behind glass are the kind of scary that's fun to look at. (Sharks not behind glass would be a different matter.)
