Wesley: Illyria can be...difficult. Testing her might be hard without getting someone seriously hurt. Angel: We'll make Spike do it. Wesley: Good.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yay for feeling-better-Grace!

I totally love living vicariously on the house going up front! So cool.

Aww.

I am somewhat dubious about the efficacy of my various foaming and caulking and siliconing efforts, but I feel very strongly all walk the talk about them. Plus it's fun to be playing in the walls before they get all hidden behind decency and paint.

I am anxious about insulation guy coming tomorrow, because it's all supposed to happen in a day, and I'm not too clear on what, exactly, is going in. It's not the spray on foam, sadly. It's not batts of any kind, good or bad. It's not blown in cellulose. It's supposed to be blown in loose fill fiberglass. But because I think the builder is not clear on it, I'm not clear if it's the blow in blanket system with the "white" or clean fiberglass, or if it's the pink stuff, just loose instead, or what. I know it's supposed to not settle as much as loose cellulose, and it's supposed to fill in nooks and crannies better than batts, but other than that, I'm not too sure.

Anyway. I'll find out tomorrow.

The downside for us about not having to cook for Thanksgiving is not having leftovers from Thanksgiving.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am brilliant! I was sitting here thinking I wished I had some dessert (very unlike me), and I remembered that I randomly bought some pumpkin bread mix at Williams-Sonoma when I was at the mall earlier! Half-price. So that's almost ready for eating.

You'll have to tell us, Liese! I am like Kat in following your adventure. It's like This Old House, but I know the people!

I'm gonna have to get a smaller monitor, I think. This works fine but TOO BIG. Which means I'll need to order one. Apparently, few people want small monitors. Oh well. Anyway, now I know.

Can't get enough of the kid pix. Going to have to order copies of ones of me & Noah. Mom got a charge out of those.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I LOVE hearing the house building stories! So exciting.

Mom got a charge out of those.

Yay! You were able to get the 'rents to see 'em online?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

It's like This Old House, but I know the people!

Hee. Also, in This Old House, things move faster. Or if, like, Bob Vila came to my house it would have been done in a half hour. Or at least several half hour segments.

And on This Old House, they never seem to finish a process and say, "Ugh! What is this on my leg?" (Today, the answer was, "That foam stuff. You know, the kind they say you can take off certain things with acetone. But if it gets on your skin, you just have to wait for it to wear off. Or your pants, evidently. Good thing it was the pair with the questionable skull paintings on it, and therefore already not an impress-the-parents-of-your-students pair.")

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The new Futurama DVD comes with a bonus math lecture!

Well, sorta. They still are confounded by youtube. I will get them seeing the giggles and Grace when I next see them. And with flickr, I send them links to static pictures, so I pick and choose. It doesn't take that long to display a full page on dialup, but wave hands helplessly parents.

Oh, & lori, what was the name of that rare car your friend gets to shuttle? It escaped my brain.

Ahahahah! Oh & you can buy jugs of acetone at beauty supply places. In case it is really irritating.

I sent mom [link] and [link] , among others.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Noah's such a little man. Patootie.
